Celtics to sign Brazilian C Vitor Faverani

The Boston Celtics have agreed in principle to sign Brazilian center Vitor Faverani to a three-year deal, a source told Yahoo! Sports.

Faverani averaged 9.3 points on 59.4 percent shooting from the field, 4.6 rebounds and shot 79.3 percent from the free-throw line in 17 minutes a game for Spain Valencia Basket last season.

The 6-foot-11, 260-pounder is expected to play for the Brazilian national team this summer.
