Since in Brazil they use some different terms to call the position of a basketball player, I won't translate all of them 'cause it would give me much work, anyway here is a comparison of the terminology:

Armador - Point Guard
Ala - Shooting Guard or Small Forward
Pivô - Power Forward or Center

Some players are also called as a Ala-Armador or Ala-Pivô, that means they can play more than one position.

The "probable starters" are in the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 order of positions.

Here is the first team:

Just my input to it:
Armador: PG
Ala-armador: SG
Ala: SF
Ala-pivô: PF
Pivô: C

Great job ¹²³! A pity the official website is down...

Yeah, but some teams don't use the Ala-armador and Ala-pivô classification. And combine the thing all together. Look at the Cetaf team I posted above. They only have players described as armador, ala and pivô. Obviously they aren't playing with just PG, SF and C.

I played basketball for a long time in Brazil, usually brazilians teams have one armador (PG), two alas (SG and SF) and two pivôs (PF and C).

Sure, the same happens in Portugal, where the distinction between "extremo" (SF) and "extremo-poste" (PF), for instance, is sometimes not made. It's just a matter of terms I suppose, but that can create a lot of mess :D

Yep, my original idea was to translate the positions, but it was so messy I decided to leave the original words in there. I am not satisfied with the format of my rosters posts, maybe will work on some adjustments in the near future.

I played there in the youth teams for like 6 years. Won two city championships and two state championships with them. I am a member of the club as well.
Yell us more about yourself, man. What do you do with the club now?

I played PG and SG there and althought I wasn't a top player or a starter, I like to think I was a good role player that helped the team to succeed.

Now I am a member of the club like any other regular member. I don't have a job there or do anything other than enjoy their facilities and practice some amateur sport there as a hobby.

Interesting :) But tell me, why that flag? :p
