Magnano called up 10 players to date:
http://www.gazetaesportiva.net/noti...sta-de-jogadores-convocados-para-mundial.html

I hope he includes Raul Neto soon

After reviewing Magnano's call ups, what's interesting is that Brazil has had the same core of players for the past decade. Where is the player development at the underage level? Brazilian youth teams routinely finish in the top five in the FIBA Americas' junior tournaments. So why hasn't that talent carried over to the senior team? I mean, ten years and they haven't developed productive replacements yet, especially at the guard position. There's nothing wrong with sticking with veteran leadership, but at some point the CBB has start thinking about the future and start giving younger players a chance to develop at the senior level. Re-inviting Neto, Rafael Luz, and Victor Benite would be a start. Where's Paulo Prestes, Elinho Corazza, or José Roberto Nardi Duarte?

Agreed and I share the same question about adding some young blood as per continuity. I found this article some months back:
http://esportes.terra.com.br/basque...e3600c062a873410VgnCLD2000000dc6eb0aRCRD.html

Come next year for the 2015 Rio qualifiers, Brazil could still call up the aging stars.

i'm Supporting Brazil they're my fav...

Vitor Faverani will not play (injuried)

Magnano announced 10 player squad:

I agree with you. But believe, there is no organized work being developed. There is no planning. Things just happen from nowhere. The Brazilian Basketball confederation is ruled by a bunch of old men since forever. So when a player like Splitter or Huertas shows up its kind of a miracle.

We have some good young players: Raulzinho, Lucas Nogueira, Lucas Dias, Caboclo. But they are still not ready or still trying to take care of their lifes working to become NBA players.

This next generation will probably peak in 2018-20, but shall be playing in Rio 2016.

hey, guys why coach did not call lucas noqueira of estudiantes?

So who are the two players added to the ten men list of Ruben Magnano?
I think Rafael Hettsheimer will be one of them.

I think Hettsheimeir, and other will be Rafael Luz or Raul Neto, I prefer Rafael Luz, more court vision, basketball IQ, better shooter.

Brazil won yesterday 98-60 against Angola

Huertas 12 pts
Garcia 11 pts
Hettsheimeir 10 pts
Splitter 10 pts
Larry 9 pts

and Nene with a facial dunk... lol

here is the highlights video

In fairness, a lot of these veteran players broke in to the national team when they were very young, and are still close to the prime of their careers.

If I'm not mistaken, that's the Angola B team Brazil beat. Their A team is playing in the Stankovic Cup tournament in China.
