Lithuanian BBL news

Got two news here:
A) BBL is setting for plan B With fears that Rytas and Zalgiris will pull out of the BBL, the league has revealed the 'Plan B' aka no regular season for the two teams The team number might be increasing with Norchoping Dolphins as the fore-runner. All they have to do is 'fulfil the financial requirements', wonder what that could mean... http://www.lithuaniabasketball.com/news-248-bbl-is-setting-up-for-plan-b.html

B) Egidijus Dimsa goes for a double-20 as Nevezis win over Rudupis in the first battle for the BBL spot... Zalgiris, Lietuvos Rytas - anyone interested? http://www.lithuaniabasketball.com/news-249-dimsa-goes-for-a-double-20-nevezis-defeats-rudupis.html

Anybody got streaming link for Ventspils - Žalgiris game?

Wanna go to sleep, so I'll keep it short.

Lietuvos Rytas wins after late drama. Ginevicius with the game-winner three: http://www.lithuaniabasketball.com/news-265-ginevicius-three-takes-lietuvos-rytas-to-final.html

Ginevicius' comment after the game. He doesn't like BBL balls :) : http://www.lithuaniabasketball.com/...to-repeat-semifinal-performance-tomorrow.html

Zalgiris has good second half, also in the final: http://www.lithuaniabasketball.com/news-267-zalgiris-steps-up-in-second-half-defeats-ventspils.html

What are predictions for finals??? I'm picking Ventspils and Žalgiris!

I would go for Šiauliai and Rytas... :) I know that people in Latvia don't really like Siauliai, but they're adorable to watch. Many people in the arena rooted for Ventspils yesterday, when they were playing versus Zalgiris. Kids (and men, who were a lil drunk) randomly shouted "Ventspils, Ventspils"... :) Anyway, I feel that Zalgiris will have step on D if they want the trophy back. If not, Lietuvos Rytas will work their way to a victory.

OMG. Referees satisfied Ventspils's protest due to the last episode and decided that these teams will play once again for 3rd place tomorrow...

Zalgiris takes the trophy back to Kaunas. Lietuvos Rytas eight (maybe even seven or six) man heroics end after two quarters. A deserved victory for Zalgiris. Here's what happened in Siauliai - Ventspils game:
Ventspils were ahead by a single point before Siauliai’s launched their last possession. Vytautas Sarakauskas tipped in a missed shot by his teammate with the sound of buzzer and sent the Lithuanian crowd crazy. The referees signed the game protocol immediately and were unable to reverse the decision to count the basket once they had seen replays of the last play.

There won't be any rematch as Ventspils already went to Latvia. Soon we will know what BBL decides, but I don't see any reasons for them to punish Ventspils and not to give 3rd place that they deserve.

You know that's not possible. If BBL first decided that there should be rematch and now changed their mind and gave a win to Ventspils - that would be crazy.

Actually, when I saw it live in Siemens Arena, I was pretty sure that Ventpils should have won. However, when I see the replay you gave, it is clear that there were some time left (~0,4) when Sarakauskas touched the ball. Those lights on the backboard turned on too soon. Again.
Therefore, a rematch is a fair decision.

I still don't think that shot was good, it shouldn't count. Anyway, if there was a rematch, why BBL decided to play it next day in Sunday?
Aren't they playing for fans, so they should put game in time where they could reach max fan base?
