Basketball Film

Hello my Israeli friends.

Many many years ago i watched a film about the lives of two basketball players (Americans i think, one white and one black) in an Israeli basketball club.

The white dude had some injury problems i think and was dating with an Israeli girl, which had a pianist virtuoso brother, who could not perform in public though.

That's pretty much what I remember.

I liked that film very much back then (why?), so i'd appreciate any help in finding out the title and watching it again.

The ploy doesn't sounds like the one you described at all, but its similar.
Its about an american import player (who is white; does play the play the piano marvelously) that signs with a botom table club that struggles to stay in the league. The film describes his friendship with a local newspaper reporter.
Never saw the entire film, only parts.

Maybe it is you who does not remember the plot well since you never watched it fully

It does ring a bell though. I remember that he played the piano too, but the Israeli guy was amazing, but couldn't perform publically and that is why he became a journalist. But there was definetly a woman somewhere in the plot.

The plot summery given on TV guides and TV Info when showed is as exactly as I wrote-
"an American import player that signs with a bottom table club that struggles to stay in the league. The film describes his friendship with a local newspaper reporter that basketball is his entire world".
other reviews state the the reporter is also a failed pianist.
I know about the piano part because I watched the ending of the film once, nothing more-the American player played the piano marvelously while the reporter listens calmly while laying on his bed.

I think this is the film indeed. I remember the last scene too.

The reviews are right, he is failed pianist, but not because he could not play it but because he was sick, he had some kind of spasms.

Unfortunately the film page in imdb is very poor, i can't even find the Production film official website, if they still exist that is and i can not read hebrew to visit israeli sites.

I watched it on TV. More than 10 years ago.
