Guys, isn't just normal or common for a 7-foot Asian player (with no Afro genes) to get blown by 6-foot-4/6-foot-5 world import wingmen? Would a prime Hamed Haddadi, or a Wang Zhizhi, or a Menke Bateer be able to chase & stay in front with the likes of Justin Brownlee or RHJ in the perimeter?

AJ Edu is able to do defend those world import wingmen in the B-league in the perimeter, but AJ is no 7 footer (he's 6-foot-10) & he has the Afro genes which makes him mobile & athletic.

No, even most big men cant defend perimeter players these days regardless of race, what AJ has is special. If you can defend a wing player and is tall enough to be a center youre usually in the NBA.

If having glass knees does not exist in life, he would be playing in NBA right now.

He also lacks any nba level offense

He can actually be an offensive guy prior to his injuries. He was our leading scorer in that FIBA U18, Kai was just behind him.

If anything, all of his potential and highest ceiling as a player could have been fully developed if not for injury.

Osaka 88
Sendai 96

BRP jr. 26 pts 9/18 FG 3/7 3 pt fg 3 rebounds 3 assists 30 minutes

Kai with 20 pts, 9 rebs, 3 asst. They fell short 90 - 94, na-tambakan sa 1st half pero nag-habol lang. Although to be fair, Kai had a bad 1st half with 3 pts and 4 rebs.

I watched the whole game live and Kai did ok even in the first half. It’s just that he didn’t have that many touches on offense. Kai only missed once in his 8 fg attempts for the whole game. In the second half, they deliberately looked for Kai. Gibbs and Kai kept the Alphas in the game. Too bad team’s guards, esp no.7, sucks…!

Very good! Kai/Koshigaya destroys FE Nagoya, 30 point destruction

Alphas coach takes a page from Tim Cone to maximize Kai's potential. They must've watched the FIBA window games.

Well that's not even triangle offense. Soares is to low for opposite big. Only 3 players should be on strong side

AJ Edu played for Nagasaki Velca last weekend. Good to know he's OK. I think he just needed some rest that's why he didn't play for Gilas in the 2nd window.

25 pts, 18 rebs for Kai today.

He made 2/3 3pt FG.

Very Good game today.
