Nadal vs Tsonga 0-2 (2-6, 3-6)

First game of the 3rd set just started...

It is a huge match-up so far...
 
Tsonga won in three sets. His performances are already a legend. If he will win in the finals, that will be a huge cindirella story.

I was more interested in the women's competition. But sadly I just learned that my favorite Daniela Hantuchova lost in the semi :(
 
Yeah, Tsonga has been absolutely amazing. He just crushed Nadal. I'm really interested in the second semifinal. Djokovic is really looking strong in this tournament and Federer hasn't been his invincible self so far (esp. against Tipsarevic and even against Blake). I hope for a great match as they are the best finesse players on the tour.

@sashikas: You're only in it for the legs. :D

I am also in for the legs (that's why Hantuchova is one of my favorite athletes :D), but Myskina was always my #1...

Btw, I felt shocked today with Federer's loss. :mad: (of course all Swiss people did ;)). But, to be honest, Djokovic was stunning today. Well deserved.

Nothing shocking about that. Roger hadn't been in that great a shape (he has started slow before too but this time you could tell he could be pushed) and on the other hand my boy Djokovic was in hot, hot, hot shape. I am usually with the underdogs but I hope he beats Tsonga on the final.

Oh, definitely.

And, I am (without a doubt) supporting Djokovic tomorrow (and in general, when he is not playing Safin or Federer). He is totally my type of player. Besides that, I don't like Tsonga that much ;)

But, I was still sad about Roger :(

As much as I love my girlfriend I think she is the underdog against Sharapova. I hope she can pull a surprise though. But even if she doesn't, she has all the future ahead of her. The serbian duo are 20-y-olds which says a lot...

That's the best thing about the off-topic forum. ;)

By the way, I don't really support anyone in female tennis (since Myskina more or less quit the sport), besides maybe Vaidisova, who has been my player since the junior stages.

Nobody is. I hope so, at least. Sharapova's matches are like watching porn, only without, errr, porn.

Funny story by the way: I watched a bit of one of her matches during the US Open (2006?) and when I got up the next day my roommate came up to me really pissed and said: "Hey man, watch your hardcore stuff when I'm not home or at least put headphones on!"
He was really mad and I totally blushed and was like: "Errr...I didn't...you know...I was watching tennis...womens' competition..." - "Of coooooourse..."
Long story short: Sharapova - never again!
