Efes looks like crap at the moment, mostly because of guards. We'll see if it will improve.
the fanbase is depressed and is talking about relegation :D

Thanks!
Do you know anything about Dunston, Simon and Muric?
Will they play?

Sorry man, I've not seen this earlier. As for the question, cannot say really. (this was a completely useless post :))

Lol they are mean :D

Back to the topic, Efes once again has good players but probably not enough for F4
I think Efes's problems are the same as last year, only worsened: the guards.
Adams is no EL player. I saw two prep games and he'll probably be sent out in mid-season, unless a miracle happens.
McCollum can score abundantly, but that guard scoring was not a problem for us. He is no EL player either. not in my prejudiced eyes.
Perasovic is wasting both the roster spots and the youngsters. He should either let them play or not call them at all.

Now it seems that even Braun will not play.
I guess easy win for Real.

Played 5, lost 5.......I know it's still early days but might this be the worst Efes team in the Euroleague era?

Of course, there is no shame in losing to Real, CSKA and Fener, but defeat to Unicaja at home when you never really looked like winning (even while briefly ahead) tells a different story.

We've had teams recently which have been talented but inexperienced, good attacking but poor defensively, athletic but not tactical. This team just looks............well, poor.

I'm not one for criticsing players but I concur with others who've said certain players just don't look Euroleague quality.

People said during the summer that letting Huertel, Granger and Thomas leave was smart thinking, well they seem to playing perfectly well for their new clubs.

He was at Avtodor last season? It was an interesting choice after Efes being linked with Jackson etc.

This was the best part of offseason for Efes, still happy to see them gone.
the series of mistakes started by the signing of mr Batuk :). I remember the collective incredulity among Efes fans on twitter. Then it went only downhill from there... all the way down to Mr Muric.

with Dunston and Brown in the team, we could have saved money for 2 solid foreign players (PG&SF) + Stimac imho. The rest would be perfectly fine with the Balbay and the youngsters. They are not just any young players, either, these kids can play in the EL!

yes, and he was apparently mediocre for them too. I had never heard of him before. I saw his story, being badly injured in a car accident, and then coming back to bball.. cool, best of luck to him. But it was obvious in preseason he's not ready for this level. not even for competitive TBL level. I guess Alper Yilmaz must have seen something that is yet to come out.

Perasovic is EC level coach and he made roster for EC. Problem is that Efes has EL licence and play in EL. Among their marketing issues, they represent Turkish basketball too, but they are doing that very bad.
GS is also shame this season.
The only bright spot is still Fener, thanks to 1.Aziz 2.Obra 2.Players 4.fans
What Efes miss from this? ALL:D
1. Efes doesn't have president who will bring coach like Obra
2. Efes doesn't have coach with balls and vision
3. Consequence of previous two things, players and roster is poor selection of mediocre and awful players, except Dunston, Stimac and Simon
4. There is no powerfull fan base that could impact more then posting on social networks

Why not? Even half of the forum members can hire top coach (if money is there), why would/could efes president not do that?
Also: who are "coaches like obra"?

Gherardini not even listed?
You're so ungrateful...

i hope efes will quit basketball and efes fans like levenspiel will be "fenerbahçe doğuş" fans.

Money isn't problem for Efes as you know, but idea and vision about future is for sure the big problem. There are coaches like Obra in Europe. A few years ago they brought one of them but he failed second season because of pressure and impatience from management and owners.

As you see it's not just about money....

perhaps it would have been better to give the license to Besiktas but let's wait, it is still too early.

As for Thomas he is the best Maccabi player till now playing mainly as "4". Unlike other Maccabi supporters I thought that he could suit well to our game, till now I am right.

Last year Perasovic didn't trust him at all, he played always isolated, forced to create his own shot without any help.

Perasovic is quite a disappointment for me till now, I considered him to be one of the best European coaches. Perhaps the roster is not an adequate one but he seems not to be acclimated perfectly in Turkish mentality.

some fans actually have their pride.
Levenspiel is one of them.
and I remember your team Ulker losing by 30-40 points some 10+ years ago.

regarding Efes, most people are forgetting the fact that Efes is playing without it's best player.
no one can say that even with him they wouldn't be at 0-5 but most probably they wouldn't since they are not as deep as top teams are.
also, his replacement is out injured as well. not that he would have helped.
