You can make jokes about it but your fellow fans are really destroying this forum. I wasn't even talking about you but about the usual suspects.

I do not have "fellow fans" here mate. This is an individual forum. I disagree with many FB fans on a hundred issues just like I disagree with others.
A user being a Turk, or a FB fan has no meaning. He/she could be an Oly/Cska/Real/Baskonia/CZ fan for all I care.
There are many users here that are neither Turkish nor Fenerbahce people and they have my utmost respect. At the same time there are a few FB fans that I do not care too much.

I look at users on an individual base, and do not group them in categories like "Greek fans, Oly Fans, Serbians" etc.
Cuneyt writing something stupid does not mean Turks write stupid, or me being a jerk does not mean all FB fans are Jerks.

I advise you not to generalize, and not to put people in "categories", but of course it is your own choice to do it or not.

Anyway it is the off-season and we are all waiting for the next. Time to chill...

look at the most important figures for fener until obradovic era, you will see efes...

ibrahim, mrsic, mirsad, ömer onan, aydın örs...

3 of them efes products but people call them fener legends...

Fener also needed Ulker, and we will need Dogus in the next year, that's not the point. My point is corporate teams are still corporate teams, that's why Efes will never reach to the next level of the Euroleague as long as they stay as a corporate team. It's best to merge with a true club.

A corporation exists for profit. Plain and simple. The reason why they support sports is either they see profit in it, or the owner has a tendency towards that sport.
Most of the investments can be covered through "marketing expenses etc" so they provide the corporation some sort of financial advantage.
Once the perceived "benefit" vanishes...so does the corporation. We have seen this through Tofas, Eczacibasi, Pasabahce, Beslen et cetera in Turkey.

A club exists for the sport. Plain and simple. They are not money or profit driven, but rather success driven.
I do not see Fenerbahce Olympiakos, CSKA, or Barcelona vanishing in 50 years.

Cant say that for Efes and the likes though.

That's true and that's why you have to separate Efes from regualr company teams; they been in the Turkish bball scene for the last 40 years, and they've been the best team in TBL overall for the period they existed. At certain years, the Turkish NT was mostly made up of Efes players. That's no fluke.

important thing is to be productive and competitive, not being present only.

What does Fener or GS exist for? Just success in sports? Why do you think they want success? They want it to be able to sell more tickets, more merchandies like flags or jerseys. They want profit too. Do you think they are charities? When did Efes hold money over sports. If they are spending this much then they are doing something for the game.

If Fener or GS or BJK are not in it for profit and they are in for the game, then I`d think they would spend more in development not just in buying the best talent available. There are a lot of things wrong with Efes but being owned buy a corporation is not one of them

Also thanks to all these meaningless discussions we don`t discuss any news regarding Efes. We`ve signed Ledo, sent Kirk away and kept Perasovic sadly. Also I heard Dunston is staying. It feels like Efes is going to try and be competitive for the next season too. That`s why I hope they let Furkan go so he can play in 76ers. 76ers wants him to play in the Summer League but he can`t if Efes don`t let him. Also please let Cedi go too. He can start with 5-10 minutes next season while they et Lebron rest. It would be more beneficial than staying and watching Granger or Huerte or someone replacing them jacking up all the shots

While the system is abused in Turkey, when you have elections, essentially fans govern the club and they can't profit from the club - unlike owners. They might get famous, but they even lose money while governing it.

@janketa we are looking from veeeery different points to the subject, so let's agree to disagree. But my reason to want him out is not some leftist argument. Yıldırım has been damaging the football branch for 5+ years now, that cannot be disputed. And about basketball branch, let's be honest - bringing them was a success but not firing Gherardini or Obradovic isn't something you get praise for. Even my sofa would have the mind not to fire them or interfere in their jobs.

Well I just read that Fener had like a 28 million budget with 12-13 million revenue.... so.....

Anadolu Efes looks like Darussafaka Dogus lol Until now, I liked the transfers of Anadolu Efes. They are making good moves. The most important move was Heurtel. He is so talented but he is not a big player either side of the court. He messed up over and over at the important moments. Yeah, Jackson isnt talented like him. But He is a good defender and he is not so selfish like Heurtel. Heurtel affected other players badly, not just only himself

Cedi and scorer sf ? That is completely misunderstood. I meant Efes need player who is creative, shows up at important moments and good shooter. Cedi is not player like that. You cant say him that take the ball and make the score or change the game stream
