Anadolu Efes 2016-17

Bojan had 13.7 ppg this season which is about as many as he got here, you are exaggerating a tiny bit. Kuzminskas, Bertans, Abrines and even Hezonja were never 'top' players but they went there, foreign players are again very hot so it would be possible for him to find a contract.

That's regular season, he never plays like that in the NBA play-offs. There is a huge difference between NBA regular season and play-offs.

This is the summary ;

he needs to play with at least 25 minutes average - 12 Pts - 5 Rb - 4 asists minimum. Cedi is too far from being one of the best of the Europe, and he has no chance at NBA..

Bojan Bogdanovic played with 14.8 pts 2.4 Rb - 1.9 Asists in top 16 + regular season 2014 Euroleague and then he went there. It's much better than Cedi Osman's current stats. (7.1 pts)

He averaged 9.7 points in 21 minutes against Atlanta. Those are the only playoff games he's played, he never even made it to the playoffs in Euroleague.

You were saying something about 10 minutes, it's clear you made a mistake.

yeah, but I think you overestimate the NBA. I've been watching NBA games sporadically, and more in the playoffs, and sometimes I feel they play terrible bball.

other than that I agree Cedi will probably not make it in the NBA, he lacks the finishing ability at the rim, and he's not really good at in-game-smarts, which could distinguish players like him.

He should get a bigger role at Efes though. That's where his future is.

I have similar sentiments. This is obvious even among play off teams in the NBA. And even though they may beat most Euroleague teams in a series, there are many players on those NBA rosters which are nothing extraordinary even for Euroleague standards.

Cedi Osman is too tall to be a SF. He should be moved to PF to be successful. Of course there are some exceptions but white players taller than 2.00 can hardly play SF. Cedi is 2.04, he has terrible body balance while dribbles, terrible ball handling. No need to expect anything from him at SF. If one day he starts playing PF, we will talk different things about him.

he is gonna be equally terrible as pf. lacks strength. I do not see any progress in him since last year and he is not a kid anymore....

As far as I see Cedi Osman doesn't have any talent for rebounts, I don't think he can play PF with that rebound statistic ; 2.8 in a whole season. For example Derrick Brown played with 5.5 , Printezis 5.2

And not only that, I don't think Cedi Osman is aggressive enough to be a PF, for playing PF or C you need to fight with big guys and I never see that determination and the fighting spirit from Cedi Osman.

Cedi is natural SF with adventage that has good ball technics with his height. The main problem with him is his shooting. He had very bad teacher when he started to play basketball. Now, he is too lazy to improve himself by training like many players did in the past. He is not talent anymore and must start from today if he wants to be what he is capable to be.

Yeah like that guy Malcolm Delaney..He's the 3rd Hawks play maker. He was the back up at the start of the season but after dissapointing performances he lost his place..I bet this guy wouldnt be anything extraordinary in Euroleague..Oh wait..

Cherry picking examples doesn't make any point. Fact remains that many NBA players are nothing extraordinary in the Euroleague. And while many Euroleague players don't have the skill set to play in the NBA, many NBA players don't have the skill set to shine in the EL. One obviously needs a certain skill set to play at the best teams of Europe. Ask Westbrook.

the NBA players who are nothing extraordinary in Euroleague are NBA rejects..You wont find a single one NBA star who flopped in Euroleague. On the other hand the examples of Euroleague stars/legends who turned out huge busts in NBA are countless..from Spanoulis,DeColo,Jasikevicius(Cabbages as Indy fans called him) to Sergio Rodriguez,Navarro..the list is just endless. That's not cherry picking, that's the reality...And what does "Ask Westbrook" even mean? Are you implying that he wouldnt dominate in Europe.Oh,the delusion.

Well, some euroleague players need time to adaptation on nba. For example Bogdanovic, Bjelica, Teletovic, Ingles, Gortat etc. Maybe Delaney will be better next season.
Another big factor is a team choice. It's not the same to play for some PO team or Phila for example.

I agree for Wbrook. Ofc he can dominate in el, like every nba star player.
