Maybe one of the Puerto Rican or Mexican posters can add something but I don't think there was a Centrobasket tournament for this age level.

Venezuela 87-81 Puerto Rico

PR cuts a 19-point deficit down to 3 but Venezuela holds on. Michael Carrera 26 points (10-13 FG, 6-11 FT) and 19 rebounds for Venezuela.

"The national teams who already qualified are Argentina, Brazil, Canada, United States and Venezuela. The three remaining teams will come from the Central American and Caribbean region and it will be decided in the Centrobasket U16 Tournament."

copy from fibaamericas

there was some centrobasket tournament, but on fibaamericas there´s nothing... I looked for some results but unsuccesfull...

USA 110-82 Brazil

USA hits 8 threes in a row in the fourth quarter (after 4-18 in the first three quarters) to run away with it. Brazil with 16 turnovers in the first half and only 2 in the second. US had 22 offensive rebounds.

Andre Drummond of the US with an interesting stat line: 13 minutes, 6-11 FG, 4-12 FT, 16 points, 11 rebounds.

the rebounds make the difference

Argentina 106-72 Bahamas

Argentina up 28-4 after the first quarter. Bortolin with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Mike Carey (27 points) and Travis Wildgoose (18 points) combined to shoot 19-24 for the Bahamas, rest of the team was 9-44.

I guess I can complain about the US getting the tougher group.

Definitely you can :D, to be honest I don't know anything about this Bahamas team but it seems that after a very good first quarter Argentina didn't played as good as expected, but will see maybe Bahamas is not as weak as I think.

FIBA live stats for the USA-Venezeula game are using the rosters from last year's U18 tournament...brilliant...

Walker was on the original list for tryouts but it going to summer school.

USA 102-76 Venezuela

USA won every quarter and gradually pulled away from a Venezuela team that was able to rebound with them, unlike Brazil. Assuming that the numbers are correct and only the names are wrong, Quinn Cook led the team with 22, and Johnny O'Bryant had 14 rebounds. Carrera had 21 points and 17 rebounds for Venezuela, and Blanco added 14 points (7-22 FG) and 13 rebounds.

A bad news for Argentina is that starting SG Valentin Marchisio is out for the rest of the tournament due to a injury.

Canada 88-69 Bahamas

This time Bahamas falls behind 32-4 after the first quarter, and gets all the way back to 67-61 before Canada closes strong.

puerto rico 83 brasil 81

I did not see the game more athletes and the coach of the much criticized Brazil for arbitration
4 flagrant fouls at the end of the game is really weird

84-35 final. Mexico shoots 8-50 from the field with 35 turnovers. Argentina for their part shoots 27-82 (and 25-45 from the line) but with 29 offensive rebounds.

I guess this is what happens when you don't have a Centrobasket.

Thats true, look Puerto Rico, playing a low level.
