Jeremías SANDRINI (Nautico Rosario)
Tomas ZANZOTERA (Sport Pergamino)
Luciano MASSARELLI (Villa Mitre de Cap Fed)

Carlos BENITEZ GAVILAN (B*** Jrs)
Federico HERRERA (Social Las Breñas, Chaco)
Matías BORTOLIN (Atenas de Córdoba )
Alberto FARRE (GEBA de Cap Fed)
Guillermo DENING (Sionista de Paraná)

Mostly the same kids who won the Southamerican Champioship at Venezuela last year.

Massarelli, Marchisio and Bortolín were the team's best performers on that tournament. Bortolín also served as Argentina's main big men; Atenas de Córdoba has been recruiting well, since it also has Pablo Orlietti at the u19 and Joel Comba at the u17.

PS: Jokinen, you also censoring Boca Juniors??:D:D

Hhaha, you know copy and paste from a spanish forum.... :D

It's curious that Atenas President Felipe Labaque said some months ago that Atenas did not recruited well lately, and I was like WTF?, I'm pretty happy with the recruitment but well I guess they want to make it even better so i won't complain.

PS: Patricio Garino was key along with Bortolin, Massarelli and Marchisio.

PS 2: Atenas also has two guards on the U17 NT and one SG on the U19 NT.

Hey guys I am one forumer from the philippines would you like to have a friendly series between your national teams and our national u16 team, I think both parties will benefit for these you can learn to match up against quick competition and for us we can learn tp play well against bigger competition hopefully our basketball body can invite other european or asian teams:D

Group A: USA, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Venezuela
Group B: Argentina, Canada, Mexico, Bahamas

Can I complain about Group A being tougher?

USA trials are supposed to start on June 6 but the roster still has not been announced.

And right on cue the US announces the trials roster:

Included on the 2009-10 USA Basketball Men’s Developmental National Team are: Justin Anderson (Montrose Christian School, Md. / Montross, Va.); Kyle Anderson (Paterson Catholic School / Fairview, N.J.); Brad Beal (Chaminade College Prep H.S. / St. Louis, Mo.); K.C. Caudill (Brea Olinda H.S. / Brea, Calif.); Angelo Chol (Herbert Hoover H.S. / San Diego, Calif.); Quinn Cook (DeMatha H.S. / Bowie, Md.); André Drummond (Capitol Preparatory Magnet School / Middletown, Conn.); Perry Ellis (Wichita Heights H.S. / Wichita, Kan.); Sterling Gibbs (Seton Hall Prep / Scotch Plains, N.J.); Brandan Kearney (Southeastern H.S. / Detroit, Mich.); James McAdoo (Norfolk Christian H.S. / Norfolk, Va.); Johnny O’Bryant (Eastside H.S. / Cleveland, Miss.); Tony Parker (Miller Grove H.S. / Lithonia, Ga.); Norvel Pelle (Dominguez H.S. / Long Beach, Calif.); Chasson Randle (Rock Island H.S. / Rock Island, Ill.); L.J. Which are the best players??

I don't know if the various recruiting rankings are very accurate at this age, but Wroten, McAdoo, Teague, Shaw, Ellis, J. Anderson, and Rose seem to be the most highly regarded.

I've seen Justin Anderson and Quinn Cook play...Anderson is a tremendous physical specimen for his age and is already a very good defender. Cook is a nice point guard who plays in one of the toughest high school leagues in the country and holds his own against players a couple years older.
