So does the team should have some kind of logic structure, or the point is to throw 5 good performed names in it?

that is how all-tournament teams are created. They will often pick 3 forwards, claiming one as a guard, or two centers, claiming one is a forward, so that they can reward the best players. So there should be some structure (3 centers would be too much, no guards would be too few) but there can be some bending of the strict positional categories of the players. That is why I made Durant a shooting guard so I could get him in there. And I moved Penney to PG even though he is a SG. Teodosic missed some games so it is hard to put him on the All-Tournament team yet. He might get there in the end though.

Pg: Teodosic
Sg: Penney
Sf: Durant
Pf: Yi
C: Scola

hell of a team:D

Haddadi should be on there, based on individual accomlishment. Seems like a hard choice between Haddidi and Yi at C... But I would take Haddadi, as he also leads in blocks!

Haddadi -- 20.0ppg, 8.6rpg, 2.5bpg
Yi -- 22.5ppg, 9.8rpg, 0.5bpg

Who are the other players leading their teams in both points and rebounds? Kleiza and Scola.... Ilysova? any others?

We're not choosing statistics, we're choosing the performances, if you would put both those players such teams like Spain, Serbia, Turkey, they won't able to reach any near of those numbers..

5 Best:
PG: Marcelinho Huertas
SG: Kirk Penney
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Ersan İlyasova
C: Luís Scola

Honorable Mention:
PG: Pablo Prigioni, Miloš Teodosić
SG: Carlos Delfino, Juan Carlos Navarro
SF: Linas Kleiza
PF: Yi Jianlian
C: Marc Gasol

any all-tourney team so far (at least) without Yi is a joke

Looking at the per 36 min Omer Asik is averaging 19 PPG 15 RPG 3 BPG which is not too shaby I guess... my point is that the strength and depth of teams are at times disguising good perfomances.

Hmm, odd paradox. Is Scola's high averages due to his being on a bad team? Or is his scoring made easier because he has better players around him? Are saying Scola couldn't score and rebound as well on another team? Would Penney score as much on another team?

That question seems out of place. What is, is. These are the highest performances, so we reward them.

I think they are more impressive for having come on a bad team.

C - Scola
PF - Yi Jian
SF - Ilyasova
SG - Durant
PG - Marcelinho Huertas

That feels more like a dream team of this tournament.:)

Richey you have made a mistake, Scola is not playing for the USA.
Please correct it before you can not sleep because you are sad about this error.
:p

well, Scola plays in the NBA so he gets a pass, I suppose. :D
