Well it sure will be fun to watch Sofo running down at the basket with Koprivica guarding him :D

Djumic is monster IMO,but problem would be since he is playing for love, can he gain more mass from love?

Still trying to figure out why would someone sign Drenovac. That's like burning money...

Yee I agree. We have no uprava.

Anyway,

This team might fight for places 5 to 9 if it stays helthy.

Just realized why Budućnost isn't bringing in any new players. They've been blocked since 6th August due to 60k € they owe to Čapin.

Well they actually are :D The funny part is that probably they will take care of that soon. So far they have brought:

- Aleks Maric
- Nemanja Jaramaz
- Sehovic (always mix them up, anyway they completed the brothers duo)
- Devoe Joseph

I hate that club. Can not remember when I last time watch a game in Moraca with out them getting support from the refs. Haw can a club from such small place have so big loby inside ABA.

They are a club with a very rich basketball tradition and they do get a lot of credit and advantage in their arena. They produced so much talent in the last 25 years especially that they many larger and richer European clubs (Dusko Ivanovic, Zarko Paspalj, Nikola Bulatovic, Gavrilo Pajovic, Sasa Pavlovic, Vlado Scepanovic, Luka Pavicevic, Dejan Radonjic, Gordic etc). I hate that arena and all the humidity it collects.

CUZ OF MILOreasons,i hate it too just look games when Red Star and Partizan plays down there and look at others,i have feeling very strong feeling in this ABA league there is very strong Anti-Serbian feelings i dont know why srsly,i mean Delije and Grobar i understand them they insult every1 everytime cuz they r retarded, but in Moraca there is killing like feeling when they play vs Serbian clubs and things and young saric singing partizan is dead blabla, alot of politics involved i dont know and i dont understand what is going with "Varvari"i guess its some kind of MNE complex or smth

Ye I noticed it a few time during matches between Buducnost - Zvezda and Buducnost - Partizan.

But I think we are the best BBall fans in the region I mean FAMILY AERODROM. Cuz we keep only to basketball. No football. Varvari BBall, Handball women, football. Grobari and Delija everything. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIVTAe8-8Y8

We hate no one in ABA, just Rabotnicki in MKD liga. City Park Boys https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3iaRrI6Egg

Tornado Zadar keep only to BBall too.

Predrag 6 weeks with Maga. Hope he will stay there, would like to see Mladenovski get some real playing time 10-15 min to start with.

6 more days to go

Budućnost got Tadija Dragičević
Partizan got Vitkovac
Begić is rumoured as an option for Olimpija, with an open contract just as last year

Bilić and Lorbek were replaced by Novosel and Čabarkapa.
TV contract for the next 5 years 6.3M € with company MYD

What a joke ABA starts soon and still we only have 1 registered C and 1 PF. With out Mladenovski.

This is insane.

Well imo Bunić was a good signing.

There is a big discrepancy regarding the friendly games played before the season. Tajfun, Mega and Olimpija will play 13 of those if I counted correctly, while Sutjeska 3, Partizan 4 and MZT 4

new managament played their game perfectly.
first they let the old team increase the number of participants from 12 to 14 because of Olimpija.
then they played a disgusting game with 14th invitation which was supposed to be decided by a qualification tournament for which teams had to pay 150 000 € (losers would get their money back) and that fiasco story was going on for 3-4 weeks. this team, that team etc. at the end Sutjeska was the only one who payed but even they didn't pay everything on time so the old managament played a game with a naive president of KK Jolly Šibenik telling him that if they pay 150 000 € they will play in ABA league.
they said yes and day later Sutjeska payed the rest of the money.
couple of weeks later Bilić and Lorbek were changed by Čabarkapa and Novosel.
leagues budget is closed for this season and their hands are clean.
win-win situation for them.
hopefully they will be more interested together with Bokan, unlike Lorbek and Bilić and the rest of mafia clan, in finding the sponsor for the league so that this entire fiasco with invitations ends.
So that we can know already now if the league will have 12 or 14 members in 2016/2017 season and that this invitation bullshit is finally done.
the logo of the league has been changed but not on the league website, season starts in two days and the league website is still not showing the schedule for the first round on it's index page.
not the greatest of starts for the new director of the league although he stated the league will hire a professional for marketing.

hoping for a good season although league looks weaker then ever before.
if anything atleast it won't be boring as more or less everyone can lose from everyone (except of the teams with top 3 budgets), especially at the beginning.
and more importantly we will see more talented kids and less foreigners which for this area was always a good thing in the long run.
and finally it is only Yugoslavian teams.
I don't want to crosscheck with previous seasons but only 17 foreigners in the league (players outside of yugoslavia, Marić included) is probably the lowest number of foreigners since the league started.
and majority of them are with big questionmark over their head as most of them are not even eurocup class. not now anyway.
that shows the economical strength of the countries as clubs can not afford them.
I guess Cedevita and Crvena Zvezda combined have a higher budget then the rest of the team from the league all together.

Well, Cedevita and Zvezda are both probably around 2M € budget for the first team, it shouldn't be far from reality that they overall have bigger budgets than the rest of the league. Olimpija is at record low 600.000 € for salaries, Krka a bit more I suspect, while Tajfun has an overall 800.000 € budget (for everything, 1st team and other costs), Cibona is at 450.000 € for their 1st team salaries, haven't read anything about the rest.

I'm not that enthusiastic about the ABA level dropping in the past 2-3 years. In Slovenia a team with good coach and good chemistry as Tajfun deservingly won the title last year as an actual best team, while this season Helios is actualy pretty close if not even to other Slo ABA teams, needless to say 5-10 years ago such versions of Olimpija, Krka would have troubles battleing for anything above 10th place in ABA standings, however I don't see that many other teams doing significantly better this season.

One thing is for sure, apart from top 2-3 teams the rest will likely be pretty even in standings. Unless some teams plans to sign some enormous reinforcements all of a sudden. I know Partizan will, not absolutely sure about some others.

I've just read some tweets there is an actual possibility that there won't be any ABA broadcasts for Slovenia this year. Lisac was the owner of the Šport TV that had the rights for ABA, needless to say Šport TV won't be broadcasting it now.

Macedonia will be with out ABA on TV. 3 years deal with ABA and MTV is over and arenasport did stop MTV to broadcast Olimpia vs MZT.

MZT will be with out both playmakers Protic and Ljubcic for the next month or so, huge blow for MZT who didint have much of luck with the injurys last 2 years. Almost starts to get ridiculous with all these injurys.

Budget of MZT is embarrassing 400.000 euros this years. Started offensive first two years 1.2 and 1.5 milon euro, last years drop to 500.000 and now 400.000.

embarrassing to say that Kumanovo and Karpos in MKD has biggert budget than MZT. 800.000 and 600.000.
