Hahaha! Reminds me of someone here who thinks that an inch or two in height difference means nothing.

So what will be the benefit. Will you block a shot if you 2 inch more if the other player have wide shoulder and shoot a hook shot. Its skills over height.

Yes it may. Basketball sometimes is a game of inches. Remember that important block by Kawhi on a Jamal Murray dunk? He literally had an inch of a finger do the blocking. Deflections and steals also are mostly caused by a finger or two being able to swipe or deflect a pass. This is the reason why long wingspan perimeter players have higher floors on the defensive end.

Hoops Highlights likes the lineups Pido is running: https://twitter.com/izeizeflores/status/1535577934949277696?s=20&t=Ks5vr9tvTAkxec9oKEDDFg

He likes the fact that Pido is running a 5-out offense, and trotting 1-guard, 4-wing lineups.

Malonzo, Ferrer and Santos are long mobile players. Bollick is a tall PG. Aldrech Ramos is a bit taller but is not good enough of a post up player to punish them in the paint. On the other hand the more mobile North Port players are quicker to the ball on offensive rebounds mostly from long shots. It didn't help also that Terra Firma lost 3 key players to injury, Go, Camson and Daquioag.

Also, Bolllick was doing a mini-Luka out there. Hitting stepback 3s.

The 3-4-5 for NorthPort are Arwind, Malonzo, Ferrer, Calma, and even Art dela Cruz (who often guarded Munzon). That's kinda versatile.

Skills over height, that's for offense.

Height and length is useful for team defense situations where players need to rotate and contest, hence the importance of guys like Navarro, Gabe, Baltazar, and Oftana when it comes to contesting jumpshots or forcing players to dribble-drive instead of shooting a 3.

Forgot about Calma. Seems to be a hustle guy. A good addition to their forward rotation. For Art it is already an achievement that he is healthy enough to play.

How many times would that scenario matter? Like how Curry shoots over players that 2 inch taller. That happens more than blocking with tip of your finger.

Two inch will not do that. Thats why even Gabe was useless against an effective offensive of Korea in 2017. Gabe height was useful against a well prepare team in 2013 and 2015

When 2-4 teammates around you are crap at defending, exert little effort on closeouts, and/or too short and/or slow to rotate, that happens.

That's Stephen friggin' Curry. One of the greatest shooters of all time. It wouldn't matter if there's a hand in his face. He's just that good. But there's only ONE Steph, and there are few that are remotely similar, like Dame, KD, CP3. When those guys get going, what can you do? Just put your hands up, and that's a good play. If they make it, they make it.

Ordinary players (in comparison), on the other hand, could get bothered more often, and could go out of rhythm more easily. Height and length can play a factor, even though defense is a lot about effort, positioning, and speed.

Aaron (I almost say Norman) Black is a good player.. too bad that 1 year is too short for him to be tried out for Gilas..

Topex paying for overplaying Perkins. The guys has been ineffective the whole 4th. Cannot even get rebounds.

Aaron has skills, size and some athleticism. But his shot release is very low. As a result he doesn't have a perimeter shot despite being a tall guard. His 3 point shot can be bothered. He has to be really open to get it off.

it will be an issue of you use him as spot up shooter....there are many pg in asian level who are as atrocious as you can see yet they get pt in asian level because theyre 5'10 at least aaron is much taller..

that ed daquioag knee injury clip that's circulating online is giving me PTSD. I hope he recovers quickly.

So its not the height then. Skills than height
