Not quite sure but does Bay Area have a mother league aside from EASL to begin with?

This rumor by Snow makes sense if they do not have a mother league. Sorry, i do not have any knowledge with regards to the Bay Area team.

Correct since easl league didnt push through this year, they have no tournament outsidr comms cup unless they join abl as stopover

if the rumor about Bay Area buying a franchise for 10 years i think they might stay next conference, the best scenario is scrap the all filipino conference , expel the farm teams make the league open for asian franchise, then make the all filipino as heritage cup which means players with asian heritage are allowed to play in the league , it's about time that the pba make its league international

For me, fusing Commissioner's and Governor's Cup are closer to reality than scrapping All-Filipino Cup.

I think they were just formed solely for the purpose of competing in the EASL.

The team was specifically built for the EASL to represent the Greater China Area( Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau) because the CBA decline to join

Just bring back the old school name Reinforced Cup with two imports per team, one unli height and the other one is 6’5 and below plus an option to hire additional Asian import for the bottom 4 teams

For me, the Fiesta Cup really fits the current landscape of PBA. The league already has 12 teams. It takes 10 months or even more than a year to finish a season. IMO, a league should just last for 5-9 months, depending on the number of teams. There is already "umay" factor when a season takes a year to finish. Maybe, only Ginebra fans are happy with that.

I think was Noli Eala who change the PBA calendar, during his term the PBA season starts October to May and split into 2 conferences and invitational tournament during off season.

I forgot if they started the season with the imports tournament and the 2nd conference as the AFC, considered as the main tournament.

or maximum combined heights, like fore example maximum 13 feet where they can have a 6'10" & 6'2" import. iirc they did something like this when the centennial team played in the PBA

Diba the BAD was a stop gap measure or placeholder of the EASL for the CBA / Chinese team. Like, the powers that be in the EASL wants a Chinese representation on their league until China / CBA opens up again post-Covid. EASL without a CBA or Chinese team looks shallow, and I think they are just waiting for China to open and allow their pro athletes to compete internationally again. Maybe BAD will be an expansion team in the CBA when that happens.

I have vague memories of this happening in the early 2000s. Why was this scrapped again?

It was like an every-four-years thing which started in 1998 for PBA back then. Loaned players for the NT returned to their respective ballclubs after each AG (1998 and 2002), plus i believe this was the time (2002) when the PBA attendance and ratings started to nosedive probably because it was less appealing to the fans seeing a lot of imports dominate the league rather than their favorite local superstars.

too expensive.

early 70s to most of the 1980s, PBA allowed 2 imports. I think Crispa and Toyota were restricted to field only 1 import at a time, (they can sub each other during the game ). But the greatest combo imports i've watched is Billy Ray Bates and Michael Hackett that started the Ginebra fandom.

Blackwater extends Terrafirma’s misery to 21 games. Krutwig had 29 points and 24 rebounds for Blackwater. Baser Amer continues his resurgence with 21 points. Amer has been averaging 18 points a game this conference on a contract year.

After that defensive masterclass against the Dragons, Ginebra are not as sharp on that end against Phoenix. What the hell is going on?

Doing a La Salle. After beating Ateneo, losing to UE.

Thats because unlike Dragons, Phoenix can shoot and penetrate. That make closing out difficult because you don't know what the player will do. Close out hard penetration will lead to the weak side challenge. Then leads to a more open shot.
