Hows tyler tio for Gilas? Plays smart, pretty good shooter, if they go the clarkson route he might be worth a shout

That's why PBA should use handicap rule... The bottom teams should take 2 World imports (unlimited height), The mid tier team gets 1 import plus 1 Asian import (unlimited height too) while the finalist of AFC should be allowed only 1 import (6'9 height limit only for them)... PBA did it already before and it works...

World import especially a NBA one is still miles away better than PBA players. That might be too much especially in the 4th Qrt. I might do what KBL and CBA do, one import in the floor.

That world import can actually be a good equalizer for worse teams, if they're miles better. Depende na lang if the big teams choose ill-fitting imports.

If they both can score like 35 pts a game. It will be hard for any teams to beat them. Just imagine Powell, Nicholson and Munzon are all in the same floor for Terrafirma against this Ginebra squad. I dont know how will they able to stop them ofcourse Terrifrima also have to want to win.

though there's one problem in this set up, can the worse teams afford a NBA caliber world import to equalize competition? Phx and Terrafirma are currently having difficulty with their respective payrolls.

Only the empires can afford the Thomas Robinsons, Terrence Jones and Chicken joys (cant spell his surname hahaha) while the smaller teams settle for bread crumbs

It will level the playing field but still no guarantee... But still atleast much better than nothing... Right?

Bottom for surely will have tremendous advantage. .That also means there will be a race to the bottom in All Filipino Cup

I partially agree. Maybe it would be best if the lower 4 teams get 1 unlimited height import, the mid-tier team gets 1 max height import of 6'8, and the top 4 gets a 6'4" height import. I think that can help the parity.

In fact another option for the low tier teams is that, instead of getting unlimited height import, they can be allowed to get 2 PH college imports with unlimited height, and both can simultaneously play inside a court like a local. In this wise, we can still help the college imports to play in the country and having two players can help improve teams chances.

they will not win the title. The PBA did it with Gilas 1, when it was reaching its peak. The refs suddenly started "hating" the Gilas players.

another loss loss situation for the PBA I guess.

Bay Area Dragons wins the title PBA team are weak.
Bay Area Dragons doesn't win the title PBA officials trying to screw the guest team by using the refs.

It seems GSM is a hard counter for Bay Area without Powell. They have the the tall and mobile guards and forwards to shutdown the Bay Areas locals. Nicholson while good, seems to be more of a no. 2. Their 7'5 guy will not have the benefit of calls here unlike Junemar.

But against SMB I think it would be closer. SMB doesnt have the tall mobile forwards good for switching nor the tall mobile bigs.

Yeah, It was a sad day! Bay Area Dragons should be crushing this no good league.

I'm also waiting BAD's games against TNT and SMB. GSM, TNT and SMB are the strongest teams in the PBA right now. More interesting is the fact that these 3 teams play different styles of basketball. BAD will be tested against slower-paced game of SMB as well as the three-spamming TNT.

At least Cone showed that he can adjust to a shooting team. That defense would have made Ginebra a good fit for the EASL. Versatile switchable forwards in Brownlee and Malonzo.

I hope they allow Bay Area to join as a guest team for another conference. Sucks for the team to exist mainly for the EASL but the EASL gets delayed.

Jeremiah Gray is another good addition to Ginebra. That's another 6-foot-5/6-foot-6 athletic wing guy who can an asset in both offense & defense.

Gray, together with 6-foot-6 Roosevelt Adams, was impressive playing for Mighty Sports in the 2019 Dubai international tournament.

if the rumor about Bay Area buying a franchise for 10 years i think they might stay next conference, the best scenario is scrap the all filipino conference , expel the farm teams make the league open for asian franchise, then make the all filipino as heritage cup which means players with asian heritage are allowed to play in the league , it's about time that the pba make its league international

Not quite sure but does Bay Area have a mother league aside from EASL to begin with?

This rumor by Snow makes sense if they do not have a mother league. Sorry, i do not have any knowledge with regards to the Bay Area team.
