3rd place game: Lithuania - France

In the bag! Lithuania played well but despite fatigue France managed to show the bigness of their heart (and Diaw all his craftiness in the money time). There were many events in this game, but, one that any Lithuanian fan should feel bad about is that unforced, 8s violation by Pocius under no pressure, when Lithuania was up 3 with 2:54 to go... This is as stupid as it gets. Pocius is supposed to have "Duke IQ"...!!! To those who said France was too limited offensively: 85 pts and 95 pts scored in the 2 last games...
 
sad to see lietuva lost. valanciunas was all gassed out but he was just awesome. props to batum, diaw, huertel, and lauvergne for making key contributions to this game. bigger props to batum's girl as well. whatta babe

Congrats for the Guys im proud, its the sport i need to learn to loose and be fair play i guess

I think it's a good idea. A last word: TV commentators said French players finished their dinner at 3 AM, and (probably) bed down not before one more hour, and they had to start training at 16:00...
 
Congrats to France, you deserved it. It was a good game. We made a critical mistake dribbling across the half court, couldn't stop Diaw in crunch time, and then it was too late. I'm proud of how Lithuania did anyway and happy that they made it to the bronze medal game without Kalnietis.
 
Oh la la! I am upset that we lost by two points. Félicitations, France. That is "Congratulations" in French. However, I will say congratulations to Lithuania for making to the bronze medal after getting crushed by the United States, but we were defeated today by the French. I do not know how the game would be different if Kalnietis, Kleiza, and Javtokas played. It reminded me of last year's match when Tony Parker played. Last year's EuroBasket 2013 champions have earned themselves a bronze medal today. We did not get the gold medal last year, but today, we did not any medals at all. What an embarrassing loss like last year, but at least France did not get the gold medal today! But in my opinion, I think United States will get the gold tomorrow and Serbia will get the silver medal.

wait...so do all 3 medal winners have their anthem played? That would be awkward for tomorrow's loser. Of course it would also be dumb to have a medal anthem for the 3rd place team and not the 2nd place team...

Overall, France is better team, they proved it 2nd year in a row and they fully deserve to be among 3best World teams. I respect this team, they have a lot of talent and the other thing this team shows a big BIG character. Congrats with the win french fans
 
It's extremely tough to loose a game against Serbia in the semi's and come out the next day to beat a good team for the bronze. Shows that this French team is mentally very tough. Lithuania on the other hand lost to the US which was expected and had a day extra rest. They went for the bronze from the start. Nevertheless, they did good considering they didn't have Kalnietis. But France did deserve this Bronze.
 
Congrats to France, good finish (despite the schedule) in a hard fought game with Lithuania.
 
I really enjoyed the ending of this match.Those 27 free throws in the last 30 seconds had me on the edge of my seat.European coaching for the win (and the death of bball fan)
 
Brazil can't do this tactic of free throws... we could lose this game. lol
