3 Nation Tournament Doha 2011

It's good that we lost this game so we can see what issues still need to be worked on... I believe you learn more from the losses than from winning games in such circumstances.

This also shows that if we want to beat such teams like Qatar we need to be focused for the whole 40 minutes of the game even if we were leading by 14 points with a quarter and a half left of the match.

ok its obvious we have a big problem on offense we dont have leaders on court just occasional scorers. we are not able to score too much against strong teams. and when our defense collapsed they trashed us easily.this should be a wake up call to all the optimists posters here and to the NT itself that we still have a long way to go! nchallah we dont see similar performances in the ABC.

Guys so you forgot everything in just one bad quarter, and u judge the team this way? Im not happy abt the loss either, but i gotta say im fully happy about what the team has offered so far depite everything!
Back to the game, theres a lot of good signals coming from this tournament, yest we played most of the game without our best scorer Ghaleb Reda, yet we were up all the game through but unfortunately bad officiating turned the game upside down and Coach Ali Fakhro admitted that after the game. They called 4 fouls on Sam Hoskin who was doing pretty well (scored 10p in 19 mins).
Im not putting the blame on the referees, they r not the reason for our loss totally, but we should undertand that this loss is very important to us to take lessons and not feel we are already a great team or whatsoever bcz we r still far to reach our potential!
On a side note, Qatar used their starting trio for an average of 38 mins (Ngombo, leslie and Erfan Saed) they were so eager to win this one, and we were a bit overconfident that we achieved the win!!

no need to panic..as what the game has shown, you can beat this team handily as long as you played a good 40 minutes..no time to blink for a second coz this kind of team can take advantage of the weaknesses. Now, i am thinking how many points will this qatar team beat us in a few weeks time. If they can win 15 points over your team, how much more on our team? atleast 20 points? ;) im excited to know..hope the friendlies pushes through..we need them (practice games)

i hope our players will learn from Tunisia, and take them as an example of how a team with less preparation but with bigger heart and stronger moral, they can win any game they want specially when it comes to serious games!! i mean, Tunisia was playing crazily amazing !! and they started the game in FULL POWER with no return back !! WOW i so respected them even more !!!

Good Luck Lebanon !! GO GO GOOOOO !!! :)

Long Live Lebanon !! (Except All the Politicians!!)

This loss is helpful as long as it does not make the players or Sarkis question their ability to compete in Asia...i hope it does not...other than that it is a good lesson as you said

guys did u notice Aljazeera commercial concerning sport events to be broadcasted in Septemeber, they didnt include FIBA Asia, i hope it is not a sign that they wont broadcast the tournament!!

i doubt the wont. Fiba asia is much more imp than fiba africa. (in terms of arabian countries, competition and number of viewers)

unstability begun to appear, that's what most fear in the NT play ..

Man i'm pretty sure they are going to show the Asian Championships... I mean the European Championships are going to be broadcasted but not the Asian one ... And you should remember that Qatar is playing in the Asian Championships ;)

The question is what games will Al Jazeera air. Which Al Jazeera sports channel will the games be broadcasted?

Eurobasket is currently being shown on Al Jazeera Sports 1 and Al Jazeera Sports +6 so i'm assuming these channels will be showing the Asian Championships

20 channels of soccer

They are bidding now to get the show right of honolulu's league :)
they are bothering us with old soccer games for swiss league,
and am sure the real swiss citizen do not watch these games locally :)
that's what money excess does :)
