Ganyan kababaw ang iba nating kababayan eh. They take so much pride being declared as champion even if it's a tournament of patsies. It's like a bully proudly pounding his chest after mauling a kid half his size yet would not dare to challenge in a fistfight someone of his size.

I remember during the 2019 SEA Games, PBA & SBP went all out forming a PBA-select Gilas team composed of the very best talents in the PBA. This came at the heels of Gilas' horrible campaign in the 2019 FIBA World Cup where it got routed by Serbia, & Italy & finish the tournament with a shameful winless record.

Eh mas malakas pa yung 2019 SEA Games team natin kisa sa ating 2019 FIBA World Cup team. PBA & SBP people thought that a basketball gold medal in SEA Games would appease Pinoy basketball fans of their frustrations for that dismal Gilas campaign in the 2019 Workd Cup.

Utak bolinao talaga.

well pba was able to gaslight the masses via that gold medal win

jusko sea games, regardless of the sport, is a low tier athletic competition

was fun when we send cadets to sea games.. at least the young players got exposed in international games even its sea games..

Especially in basketball. There's a huge reason why Indonesia & Thailand did not qualify for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup. Imagine, Indonesia & Thailand not in the top 16 teams in Asia-Oceania. What does that speak of the level of competition in South East Asia basketball?

Mabuti pa yung Guam & India, nag qualify pa sa 2025 Asia Cup.

Well this is the perfect tournament to redeem some PR points after some disastrous strings of games though.

I get the ibn ogs point here.. somehow reflects tim cones vision too.. The new is he doesnt want anything involved with the sea team.. so its realky sbp task or deputy jong to do a favor to help tim cone identify diamond in tbe rough for potential pool players moving forward

I feel that the PBA will suddenly hijack the sea games since we are most likely screwed at the upcoming asia cup and they need something to boost their egos and image.
