I wonder how many quality Fil - Foreigners will join the draft.

Mike Phillips will play his final year with DLSU this coming UAAP 88

Not sure about the reliability of this article, but it's rumored that Phillips is not yet out of the running for 2025 PBA draft:

Mike should definitely get drafted on the next one, just get his Gilas eligibility asap. Ben is already drafted but hes still with La Salle the past season

Brickman’s age is about 33 thus diminished his stock but he may get drafted in late 1st round or in second round. With a player with his credentials he can still play at least 1-2 years as solid starting PG in PBA before he eventually hang his jersey.

Lane, De Corsi, Fenner and McKinney are all beyond their prime and already above 28 y.o. Realistically I think only 2 of them may end up in PBA next year. DJ Fenner and CJ Lane.

PBA will be entering its 50th year next year and with much fanfare about to happen expect all PBA stakeholders will put all their hands on deck. And prepare in full wing and all out. That will include 2025 draft. So I expect more blue chip players to apply in addition to those you listed above. I believe Kamaka and Remy will send their feelers.

I think one of PBA teams will make a serious bid to persuade Jarod Lucas to enter draft. In short, next year draft would be the most talented cohort in 50 years of league’s existence.

Is CJ Lane finally joining the draft? Or is it still a rumor

He has already confirmed many times that he will play his final year with DLSU. So he will definitely not join the next PBA draft. He's still "only" 22 years old.

You're missing the point my brother

Update about the 2025 PBA draft:

Picking 1st overall is terrafirma, 2nd pick belongs to Phoenix.
3rd pick is from Blackwater.

what is he inheriting from Japeth? Japeth started to be a tall wing like player who uses his athleticism more than footwork and his greatest asset was that of a weak side defender\shotblocker. he gradually learned to make a jumpshot through the years.
QMB is an in the paint player who can pass and make some jumpers. they are a bit different....
wait, maybe shotblocking?

He’s inheriting the roster spot and minutes? Thats about it

So Javi said that 1GDL might join the draft this year.. he will surely a top 5 pick especially if the draft class is not that loaded... ROS, Meralco, TNT are suits to his style of game..

I'm honestly surprised that QMB is really all in when it comes to pursuing basketball in the Philippines. I thought he was one of those guys who just happened to be tall and talented and used basketball as a means for other things.

Seems like he really loves the game, which is positive for his developmental potential.

I think next step for his development is to be comfortable being option 1 and dominate. He didn't get to be that guy in D1 and only showed it late in UP.

afaik 1gdl has another year in his contract with SK knights. not unless they’ll release him..

I think QMB will be more like a June Mar than a Japeth in his effect in the PBA. Japeth has never really achieved his potential in the PBA. Yes he is better now but even now he is not a guy that TC will rely on always when the game is on the line. QMB has shown he is a winner in UP. To me he was basically the UAAP finals MVP with all his clutch plays.

He might be like a defensive version of June Mar. He won’t be the center of offense as he is not the post player Junemar is but he can be relied on to make the winning plays.
