Hello Inter, sneaking here again

While, we are watching Olympics.

Let's have a segway discussion about pba draft next season.

So far, the top prospect is QMB, who will be one and done with UP.

Who are the other prospects?

Probable prospects:
QMB
Juan Gomez De Liano
Will Gozum
Chris Koon
Sean Alter
JD Cagulangan
Geo Chui
Gani Stevens
Chase Lane
LJ Gonzales
Ace Sandagon
AVO 2.0 (aka Kobe Paras)

If things go as it is, by the time the PBA 2025 draft occurs, Kobe Paras would be almost 3 yrs w/o playing competitive ball

That's the 6'6 Filam Guard from SGA athletics right?

He is a little old with 30 yrs of age though. Will be 31 next year.

Kinda sad that these Filams only consider pba as last options when they do not have any opportunity elsewhere in their 30s

Is there a chance Hepa will apply for pba draft next season?

Over in the ncaa we have guys like reigning MVP clint escamis. He probably the most pro ready prospect in the league.

In benilde, guys like Ynot and Liwag have a pro ready body already and having played multiple years in mpbl and joining sga in their tourneys in abroad will have helped their development. They also have graduating guys like Mark Sangco, a 6'4 combo forward who has the handles fo bring the ball down, the range to shoot 3's and the ability to defend multiple positions and Paul Turco who's shy of 6'7 that can give depth to any team's frontcourt. 6'2 Macoy Marcos who has opted out in playing his last year has been a good go to guy for his mbpl team this year, but his defense was always his calling card so he has good 2 way potential

Other ncaa guys i can think of are Beda's Yukien Andrada at 6'5 who should be a good stretch 4 to any team; Letran's Kobe Monje at 6'4 who can play the wing position and has the range to be a 3 level scorer and lastly EAC's King Gurtiza, 6'0 is undersized to play 2 guard but if he can improve on his playmaking he chould be a good combo guard that can lead the 2nd unit of any team

Even tho most of these guys still has playing years left after season 100, they're already at age 23-24 so they should be fine when 2025 draft comes around

Does Mike Philips still have playing years after this? He should join the draft he is isn't qualified for japan leagues

Yes. He has 4 Full years left of uaap eligibility

It is his decision when he wants to enter pba draft

Possible draftees for next year, one or two or who knows it might be more than 2 of the ofw boys depending on the what the future holds for them abroad. Another possible draftees are the fil-foreign players. Guys like Mckinney, Domingo, Brickman, De Corsi. Also the one and done(QMB,Ramiro). Lastly, the too ripe for the amaeturs (Paras,Gozum,De Liano)

I think KQ might try his luck overseas. Guys like Gani Stevens, Mike Phillips and Sean Alter have atleast 2-3 more years of playing college ball

we have to be aware that the B. League are preparing to implement the D-Day come 2026 and will remove that Asian Quota all together and the player must only present a document that he is a legit hafus from there respective Asian country(s).

I think that is why Sedrick decline(?) the propose 3 year contract and settled(?) only for a 2 yr stint instead.

let see.

the thing that common fans cannot understand, with the outdated max salary that PBA teams are implementing the richer teams need to circumvent the rules just to keep talents in our league, they think that if everyone follows the rule, players will transfer to independent teams but i think most of the top players will try to play in other leagues, now the big PBA teams must need to focus on having a successful run in international club tournaments to justify what they are doing, look at Spain's La liga in the past 15 years only 3 clubs crowned as champion but was never tagged as a farmers league because of European success

Sir JOI,

those PBA Grandpas will only react when that day comes

the initial impression is what's on the immediate future e.g. 2024-25 season but not beyond 2026 - up to future.

let's see....Bulaga!!

trans. I do miss during my childhood days the Bulagaan Knock! Knock! portion with Jimmy Santos, the late Ritchie D' Horsie and Ruby Rodriguez doing their comedic bantering with Mayor Jose and the TVJ.

indeed it will be a game changer in Asian basketball landscape.

I hope all Asian leagues will have the same system. This will spell the end of the PBA.

Dubai might start stockpiling Filipino talent if Thirdy performs well.
