2025 Lithuanian NT

Well, the scenario that main guys will boycott NT is pretty realistic. And fans should play a role here. But first people will probably wait and see the results of 25 EB. Ironically, if Kurtinaitis will gather the trash and somehow will overachieve, it will hurt NT long term badly cause Kurtinaitis and Pacesas would play anachronistic games in 27/28 as well (and would fail miserably).

I think we are very close massive protest (by fans), boycotts. Only if JV and Buzelis will come, fans will be at ease.

Sekla is another pathetic loser who expressed support to Pacesas, LOL. Why do they even ask this stupid f...? Just because he has long beard and beats the drum? Once the dude was claiming that Babrauskas is one of the brightest young LTU talents and that he would give him a chance in the NT. So the same mentality of Pacesas (and Maksvytis), they would fill the NT with all sort of scrubs. The problem is, our old school BB community is clueless, they don't never understood BB, they never could see BB and they never improved and they stuck with this inability and they are super anachronistic. So Sekla doesn't care that we might lose Buzelis because of Pacesas. Sekla is this federation population. Not fucking Sekla can say what whole BB community should think about NT, to rephrase that old fuck. Go clean that fucking ugly dirty beard of yours in the first place.

Actually I do believe that there should be some kind of organization that represent LTU NT fans. Without them obviously no-one would care about NT. Fans and NT is one thing. Can't exist one without another. And I believe 70-90% are shocked with Pacesas and wants him out.

We should clean the shit in LTU BB. Our federation became a mess, our coaches are mess. We finally have players, but else where - a mess and that started to stand as an obstacle. What a nightmare. We are paying the price of having tons of redneck lunatics in our population. Clueless BB wise people with provincial worldview, and bleeding egos.

Lot of negativity around Lithuanian basketball. The problem is that young talents, especially NBA talents, don't want to waste their time in non professional ambient. They want high level coaches to work with and elite profesionalism, attention to details.

Another play in another Sabonis choke. This guy has the mentality of a 10 year old. Maybe its for the best he thinks he's too good for Lithuania at this point

Respect alone would be enough, but Kurtinaitis managed to take a thug as an assistant coach who can't even be respectful.

Why do you hate Sabonis so much? He doesn't think he's too good for Lithuania. He's a humble guy. He will skip EB because of family mainly. Jasikevicius also too good for Lithuania? He doesn't work with NT also mainly because of family.

Sabonis is a super role player. He can't lead. Also kings don't have point guards and best p'n'r guy monk was out.

Sabonis brick shooting in detailed prepared playoofs basketball atmosphere its repeating again and again even in peak Sabonis years

What Sabonis shown in LTU NT 2016-2025 im not sure he even is top 15 lithuanian player wearing ltu jersey ever. He played little (3 fiba tournaments+ 2 olympic qualifications) and played on average level for NT.

Ofcourse i rather would have him in NT 2025 but i already lost hope after his 28 old age summer in 2024. It was huge dissapointment for me. I know history that was Domas summer to shine at peak 28 old age and we got same story as always.

Now next Sabonis tournament he will play in Fiba 2027 he already will be in 31 old ,dont hope too much from him. Just solid fiba center 12+8reb and nothing more in 2027-2028.

Problem with 2024 was short preparation and injury. So he was far from his 100% self. Also Maksvytis used him in a wrong way, but Domas still made Grignis a 20ppg player until he choked and missed his shots in the final as always. In 2027 he will be able to give 14-15pts, 11-12rbs, 3-4as. KJ is the most dynamic entry passer (best in 2025 NBA draft class) we ever had. playing with Jakucionis will be game changer for Sabonis. But we also never yet seen 100% ready Sabonis being a starter. I'm pretty positive that in 27 and 28 we'll see really strong Domas.

Domas will make KJ and Buzelis absolutely transcendent offensively, as well as Jakucionis will make Domas life in terms of scoring much easier.

KJ is the most dynamic entry passer (best in 2025 NBA draft class) we ever had.

Off course, it's a battle with Jasikevicius. He also was special and dynamic entry passer and all sort of passer, but KJ has that second floor entry passing (which Saras didn't use in this fashion), like he can raise his hands or leap and make that second floor quick entry passes like in this video (second possession). This way he can pass against the length and essentially will be unstoppable machine of facilitation. KJ's being more ISO player with stronger legs will also give an edge in terms of passing too. It's really scary how good of a player KJ can become one day.

Here's the times when Jasikevicius was lobbing for Siskauskas. Really smooth and dynamic BB. Most beautiful BB we ever played.

And here's KJ's entry passing I talked about:

I think Jakucionis has a bright future, but also a lot of stuff to work on to become a guard who makes difference. He has long ways to go in terms of decision making, ballhandling and controling the game as a true lead guard. Without that he can't reach his ceiling. I'm telling this because I noticed all those shortcomings vs stronger opposition in the second half of NCAA season. Aside from shaky off the dribble shooting he couldn't impact the team in other areas. But yes, I think his talent is obvious and at the very least he can be a rotational piece in NBA.

He wasn't the same at the end of the season. I think mental pressure got him a bit. It's one thing to lead U18 Barca team and other Illini with 16k coming to each home games. I followed KJ since 16 and he was unplayable, too wild, but made huge steps forward. Concerns as handles and decision making will improve, specially the latter. He's an amazing game reader. Amazing. Sees things ahead and his timing is special. But sometimes he risks too much and trusts his instincts too much. I'm ok with it. Lead guards will turn the ball inevitably. If they don't, it means they are not aggressive and creative enough. And his off the dribble shooting is one of things that keeps him high in the mocks actually. He took tons of hard shots, he's a better shooter than % suggests. He got a bit cold at the end, but the beautiful, dynamic form is there and the touch is there. Scouts don't question his shooting. Only his average athleticism for NBA standards is the only real concern. This may limit his inside scoring and cause defensive issues, but we'll see. Nash never played D, so is Doncic.

I don't question his shooting form, it's beautiful. But I think he was lacking awareness a bit and relied too much on taking contested shots.

If his talent is really at the level of Nash and Doncic, then he doesn't have to worry about defense or lack of athleticism.

Sabonis had 8 years fiba streach 2016-2024 in his 20s as nba all star player and his best tournament was 12pts average? Thats really weak.

Other top 10 players also not always had perfect situations, but when such tallent player are on his total peak nothing can stop him from being just great and make everybody around him better.

Its literally about Sabonis brick shooting thats nr 1 problem not his coaches or teammates.
.

Dont wanna hear kids level excuses for top 100 world player for entire decade already ! ...Enough excuses after so manny years and so manny chokes in playoofs both in fiba and nba.

Sabonis himself is who to blame for not single time bringing nba all start level to playoofs basketball

Looking that he has spoiled wife model type + never was biggest NT patriot my prediction Sabonis have 1-2 fiba tournament left in him 2027-2028 not more.

That Sabonis will play in Fiba tournament in summers being 33+ old from 2029 i dont believe

a center who cant shoot, play switch defense, defend the rim, most of his assists come from handoffs which inflates his playmaking numbers. the fact that he REQUIRES your entire team to be built around him and him only makes you wonder what his true value is. with all due respect if you are a multiple time allstar, 20ppg nba player should be able to score more than 12ppg in fiba basketball without your teammates setting everything up

Domas is amazing screener and rebounder, best in the world. He also one of the best passing bigs. Don't ask much scoring from him in Fiba. He will be very nice next KJ and Buzelis. We don't need 20pts from him. KJ and Buzelis will provide that. Btw, all bruisers and even smoother centers struggle in Fiba. Nothing new. But Domas can still be highly valuable.

SL, KJ's upside may not be as high as Nash/Doncic, but I expect something close. The essential quality from the same tier. With today's offensive highway NBA, I see 20-22ppg, 6-8apg, 7-8rpg in his best years for competitive team.

Being a good screen setter is a underestimated skill but its not like he is the only one in the world. Actually, he takes away everything he provides with his poor defense. I mean how can you bite on every fake? At this point his fast legs are also no help. He lets everything happen without giving it a try and he is by far not that offensive weapon to compensate his weaknesses.

Vucevic is such a case with almost 0 defense but his offense as always remarkable and his problem is that many European bigs are exceptionally good.

SL, KJ's upside may not be as high as Nash/Doncic, but I expect something close.

This is so wild. I dont even know what to write. :D

I mean Doncic is a top five player in the NBA and probably one of the greatest PGs in the game and Steve Nash is a two time mvp. Jakucionis can be very happy if he can have a decent NBA career thats still a lot but he is not even near them.

Yeah, I heard enough from you how Saraf and all German U18 guys and what not are better, how Topic is nothing much good, how Franz has no secondary facilitation and all that jazz. We also heard about Lithuanian Doncic previously. You have no obligation to spread your projections cause most of them are false.

Like Berke first rounder, like you could die for it :) You should write less and trust my takes on players more.
