What will happen if Buzelis,Jakucionis,Indrusaitis,Krivas only one will become real nba player? and other become Brazdeikis and Sirvydis? what is our other plan? :)

Indrusaitis wont become an NBA player.

Dude, you're so lost :) Not history playing basketball, but people, separate individuals. French PG Hayes as sixth pic busted. It's not even clear if he ever suit for French NT. Doesn't seem so. He's trash. You have to look at each player separately. I can do it and you don't. That's why you have to rely on scouts who failed with Buzelis and he gonna be big steal most likely (the shot is a bit worrysome though, but if he proves he can shoot, game over, he's the best in the draft or top 3 easily). You just have to follow blindly cause you always can't observe the talent spot on. Better just trust my instincts. Jakucionis won't be a bust. He will be good enough to make big things for Lithuania, like giving 17-20ppg, 7-10as, 5-7rbs per game with solid defense. Imagine something like improved version of prime Calathes, maybe with slightly less defense, but way more scoring. Like Calathes with a an elite jump shot and scoring ability. That's what we get in Kasparas. I don't see him busting. He has it all. Hayes couldn't shoot and it appeared he doesn't have a touch for either scoring or passing.

FRANCE still have no TRUE answers in perimeter. With all these tons of draft picks their best chance is swingman/forward Coulibaly and future draft pick Traore. They have only one truly elite pure guard Traore as their guard hope. Meaning it's not about amount of draft picks, it's about quality. Lithuanian first rounders became all good players 100%, including guard Marciulionis (he had to be first rounder and would). You can't just say that France will inevitably have better guard section cause they have 5 first round guard picks(or so ) instead of 1. Jakucionis may easily be better (and in terms of scoring I think he will in FIBA) than any France darft picks.

France will have a great team, that's true, but you are pointing at the best drafting team in Europe. And even them will have certain issues with guards. Tons of their prospects bust out. We can't say the same about Lithuania or Serbia. Most of our prospects pan out. Even take Iggy, he became EL level player. Jokubaitis too, Sirvydis too. Almost 100% of our drafted players pan out.

Don't jump from one topic to another. No-one claimed that Lithuania will have the best talent pool in Europe. My claim is to build the team that can contend and win some medals here and there. For that I think we have the pieces, via 2028 projection. And don't forget that Buika is a very strong guard too, who could make the team in 2029. He can create for himself as well.

What if only one true FIBA star will emerge from Jakucionis, Buzelis, Indrusaitis, Rubstavicius, Jokubaitis? It probably will mean that we are sticking around semis and even having a chance to snatch a bronze in some EB or WC. Lithuania is deep and quality in each position and will be much better than today after 3-5 years. If two true FIBA stars will emerge (Jakucionis/Buzelis) and other guys as Indrusaitis, Rubstavicius will turn out to be elite EL players at least, we will be contending and challenging every single team.

Indrusaitis wont become an NBA player.

I would also see him more of an elite EL player, but why you're so certain? He could thrive with his skill set in space open NBA offensively.

Bogdan Bogdanovich nba role players stats 2017-2024 449gm 28,1min 14,7pts per game

Domantas Sabonis multiple nba all star stats 2016-2024 576gm 30,2min 15,7pts per game

Just imagine what is small diffrence between role player and nba all star :) only 1pts average diffrence

If you could say to NT coaches choose Sabonis or Bogdanovich. Like 90% of NT head coaches im sure would choose that ale nba role player guard for fiba competions.

Bogi ain't no best triple double player in NBA and best rebouder in the planet. And judge current Sabonis' numbers, not all career. Bigi came as finished product to NBA. He's a good player and FIBA star. Don't nitpick. Everyone knows that Bogi is mor valuable than Sabonis on FIBA court. You're acting childishly just trying to win something here in debate.

No, he cant.

By thrive, I mean to have a role that he could deal with consistently. 18mpg kinda player I would say. My point is, I wouldn't exclude Nojus as sure fire non NBA prospect. Dude's has flawless scoring profile to certain extent. If he will develop properly he can become NBA material. Show me guys like him in EL? I don't see any. With his smoothness and skillset? Nope...There's none.

When you say "to certain extend" it means he has flaws. You just see NBA talents in these youth tournaments. Traore is one, Ben Saraf is another. The German guards Anderson and Kayil or so could be one. And I really say "could be". Even Gonzales has lost his position as a lottery pick. Its not that easy to become a role player in the NBA. You must at least to do something on elite level, defend well and do other things to a certain level.

Of course he could turn to a hell of a player like Franz Wagner but this happens just one in 1000 cases. He must be an exceptional offensive talent to ignore his 0 defense

People who saying that 15pts nba player is role player simply dont follow nba and talking nonsenses.

Dinosour expert and zalias exactly did that.

People who calling top 10 european in 2020s basketball a role player its hard to argue with cluesless fans

who will be power in 2026-2032 fiba basketball?

just count which countries have most first round nba draft kids in 2020-2025 they easily have the best chance to be power in fiba in 2028-2032

60-70% of those kids never become fiba stars, but from every 10 european first rounded nba draft kids 2-4 kids will become fiba stars.

Which one? nobody knows but more country have of first rounders the better their chances to win that lottery.

Bogi is a good role player in the NBA. Nothing more. Stop being pathetic. Show me an article where he is called more than that in NBA? Stop it. Both Mills and Bogi never been anything more than good role players in NBA, but they are superstars in FIBA essentially for their NTs.

Not nobody. You don't know :) I've seen Franz becoming FIBA star and I created thread and wrote about it. Go read :D From what I see today, I think Buzelis will be FIBA star, Topic can be FIBA star, Jakucionis has a chance to be FIBA star or very close that, Traore has a chance to be FIBA star (even though his shot is a bit questionable), Jovic will be nearly FIBA star or actual star, Sengun will be FIBA star or is already to be precise. I also seen Giddey becoming a star right away.

Bogdanovic is always in the talks of being the sixth man of the year. You cant compare him to Davis Bertans for example. Also among those role players there are differences.

No, Indrusaitis won't be Franz. Franz is special, FIBA superstar pedigree (Buzelis has some of that) or even NBA superstar/star. I would hope Nojus be something like...I don't know...something like poor man's Kevin Huerter? I guy who would play around 20mpg on average NBA team and would give instant offense? And would be 16-17ppg kinda starting SG for Lithuania.

True, but essentially he never reached the status of being boderline star, some injuries also played a part here. Essentially he's a role player. Sarunas Marciulionis also was just a good role player in NBA even if he was dropping 19ppg for strong warriors in his prime. But that lasted too little, for a season or two and couple of true stars were around him. But Marciulionis was a superstar on FIBA court. The same case.

What you describe is Anderson of Germany or different guys. Just look at Deny Avdija or Hachimura. They were taken between 5-8. Avdija played a serious role in the EL and he is nothing more than a role player who scores 12-15 points in a trash NBA team like Washington and even Washington traded him.

I have just looked at the stats of Indrusaitis. He made 35% of his threes and 70% of his fts. Not much of a rebounder, does not care creating for others. We will see next season what he is capable of.

Nojus is the guy who decided the game against Germany. He was carrying the team offensively, but made some absolutely deadly mistakes defensively, like fouling three point shooters. Nevertheless, he basically has all the package at both ends. Won't be a lock down on ball defender, but can be solid defensively when wanted. Good scouting report by noceiling

Iowa State is top 3 NCAA team next season basically. Really stacked. I'm afraid he might be warming the bench too much first season. Jakcucionis should be unleashed right away.

Nojus Indrusaitis, Guard, Lithuania (Iowa State)

Nojus Indrusaitis strikes me as a guard who will be tough to keep off the floor for coaches, regardless of current depth. His creative playmaking for himself and others, his dynamic spin move going both right and left, and motor to win putbacks off his own misses are valuable traits in a physical Big 12. A clever pick-and-roll guard, Indrusaitis can attack defenses off of switches out of screens, using his floater as a viable weapon, along with shifty ball-handling to potentially score at all three levels. Take a look at three spins leading to scores just from the Germany game:

The biggest concern for Nojus at this point offensively is how he shoots over long contests. He shoots with too much arc, almost a moonball with poor accuracy (he shot 3-of-16 on contested catch-and-shoot jumpers in the tournament). While this alone is a problem, he also rushes his mechanics and has a different shot when given time to plant his feet and shoot over defenders compared to how he shoots over lengthy contests. He can forego his follow-through and overcompensate for the height differences between him and the defender by having too much arc, which causes his accuracy to often go out the window.

Defensively, he makes some smart off-ball plays, but his size and athleticism leave a bit to be desired on-ball. He also has an issue of making reckless fouls, either being overly physical and grabbing the ball-handler as he gets beaten, or making too hard of a leap toward a shooter, which plagued him against Germany. Iowa State had the number one defense in 2023-24, so limiting avoidable mistakes defensively will be a key factor in Indrusaitis earning minutes right away in Ames. He is likely to be a multi-year prospect, but is worth monitoring over time.

Zalias, pretty much spot on. You're one of rare hopes of this dying forum as new sensible poster. NT still has the depth and quality just lacking expressed leader or two in the perimeter. And we have pieces for that to emerge.

Now with the boomer redneck there's millions of problems as always.

Who the hell are you to judge the quality of other posters? Your insight in that regard is about as incisive as that which you show for coaches who you condemn as soon as you see them not putting your favourites up on pedestals.

The Ringer author couldn't cease the temptation to name Lithuania among honorable mentions of 2028 Olympic game (potential) key teams. It comes a bit as surprise knowing how heavily we are going down ATM (missing 2 Olympic games in a row), but looking forward, aside current powerhouses as USA, France, Serbia, Canada, Germany, Australia and well (sort of) Spain, I also would have mentioned Lithuania. Not only traditional OG powerhouse, but with potentially great narrative for upcoming Olympic cycle. What surprised me though, not mentioned Buzelis and just focusing on Sabonis and Jakucionis.

Lithuania (Olympic rank: NR/FIBA world rank: 10) might seem like a curious addition to the list. The countrydidn’t qualify for Paris after losing to Puerto Rico in the qualifying tournament, but 2028 presents one last opportunity to take advantage of Domantas Sabonis—who, at 32 by that point, would be at the edge of his prime—and his All-NBA talent. Lithuania’s most intriguing prospect is 18-year-old Kasparas Jakucionis, a wildly creative, 6-foot-5 guard who will play alongside Riley, the Canadian prospect, at Illinois this season. Jakucionis’s body control is impressive for his age; he’s already comfortable with change-of-pace dribbles and feints that allow him to get into pull-ups and toss imaginative passes with both precision and flair. Lithuania’s best shot at making its way back to the Olympic stage in 2028 may be leaning into youth and finding out what it could have in a dribble handoff game between Sabonis and its crafty star in the making.

To be fair I want Balciunas out. Dude's talking nonsense and just wants to stay in the post. He couldn't even bring a single good exhibition stage for the NT. It was shit in 2022 (big reason why we struggled in the group), 2023 and 2024. Horrible.

Javtokas on other hand is hunting somewhere and always have no arguments when asked "what Balciunas did wrong". It's so funny :D Dude is lazy as fuck and is never ready :D It's mind blowing. Like he comes to criticize current federation, but also mentions that "I wasn't following their work closely". I mean, I support Javtokas cause after him is all these Jasikevicius, Kazlauskas, Sabonis kinda names. But the dude himself is lazy and out of arguments and ideas :D Very passive and laid back.

In other words, I don't see good candidates. Did I get it right than Jonas Valanciunas wants to be the president of federation in the future? Interesting. But I would love to see some-one like Pocius. He seems disciplined and smart. Javtokas is funny. Previously unleashed super shitty video for the elections. Like complete trash :) Now he has no arguments again and hunting :) And he wants to win...He should be traveling all over the Lithuania and be in all kinds of internet as Balciunas is.
