The reality its mostly on the kids, the mother teams and there trainers. The national program aint that long so even if Josh is the worst coach in the world, his impact aint career threatening.

Actually, I might have to share this sentiment, although I'm not the biggest fan of Josh being the head coach of the youth team as well. It's not solely on him.

I look at Charles Esteban and Marc Burgos of this year's U18. Both are quick and long at 6'4"-6'5", ideal for wings. But, they're kinda hesitant in dribbling unless to drive against defenders that won't poke the ball from them. Otherwise, they just pass to the guard. They still play like bigs, e. I hope they improve their perimeter skills after this.

Him and Matias are both good. Better than Bahay at the same age.. can both shoot and are flashy passer... He does not look 6-3 though

They have a Pampanga Pradera U17 6'4 teammate named Kurl Figueroa who is a dunker and high flyer

Any topic related to this thread and potential players for this age group.

6'8 Andwill Yap
6'8 Tyler Reyes
6'6 Prince Carino
6'5 Boe Gelin
6'5 Aaron Guinto
6'5 Gab Castro
6'5 Lumaque

I haven't seen most of these kids play but we'll just consider them as potentials.

Tyler is with his sister Tiffany, doing rounds in the summer basketball camps in the States. Most probably will enroll in a US high school.

Out of site , out of mind. if its still Josh coachinng the Yputh next year, no chance for tyler to make the team. Syempre Joke will prefer the sons of his rich Kumpadres and sub6 ft minions

Howbout that 6'8 Eion Bragga kid?
And what's the ceiling of this 12 y.o Sam Esomchi?

He is "the Prince that was Promised" - Game of Thrones

Carino should be in the U17 team. For exposure and development. So much upside, kesa naman sa mga 5-10 SG and 6 foot SF. He is already better than deLianio at 14-15

At least 6'2 Tiffany, at only 13 was included in the Pat Aquino - managed U16 Girl's Team.

Forget Kai, if Tiffany's parents are willing to play the long game, she has the potential to be the first Philippine-born and bred to play in the highest level league in the world.

Thanks.

same thing Sir Dotch that LPU kid is also raw.

only started seriously several months ago..

barely 16

as for that hafu boy.

barely 13 yrs. old but his skillsets are more advance compared to others at that level.

thanks to his african genes he is now a legit 6'3 and still growing.

his Cavitena(?) mom had a decent height as well.

those kids you've mentioned should rob elbows with a competent skills coach nowadays.

esp that Afro kid he had a tons of potentials.

in fairness to Ram and Bragga they've already late bloomers.

lot's of catch up from now on.

Not to hype, but the kid looks ahead compared to his peers (age bracket) in big position by Pinoy standards.

Also,

Harrison Jones is already aware of the passport issue, so the only remaining concern is the document processing for the Philippine passport. Additionally, if he is eligible for this age bracket—assuming he’s a 2009-born, as he is from the class of 2027—I’m not sure of his exact birth year.

This batch looks promising.

Harrison Jones won't get into Batang Gilas. He is too tall for nepotism boy.

Zero Buckets said Harrison Jones turns 16 in November this year which means he's no longer eligible in next year's Asian U-16 tournament. The positive news is, he's now working on his papers to secure Philippine passport. I hope he secures Phi passport prior to his 16th birthday on November.
