I don't think FIBA thinks that way... They always been snub by USA stars since then... As long as Luka (as always he will play), Wemby (he will play for sure because they don't have automatically qualification this time), Giannis, and some international stars then FIBA is ok with that.. and also remember, USA is automatically qualified in 2028 Olympics as host... I see Chet and Flagg will lead USA in 2027 world cup ..
 
What is issue with Yulo's GF? Why she was bashed by many? And why some Filipinos still with Caloy's mother, even she take out almost all of Caloy's money and lastly she's more supporting Japan than her son? It's too toxic within Caloy's camp... Actually I don't like Caloy's Mom when she not supporting her son and she's mocking with she supporting more with Japan... That's red flag already...

Caloy's mom is awful I think we can all agree on that.

But the girlfriend is not doing herself any favors by the way she has behaved before and after Caloy won a medal. So you can't help people thinking of her as a gold digger, or clout chaser.

A few examples:

1. Caloy says she has income, but from where? She does not have a job other than being an influencer. Even if you look at her social media pages, her followers and combined views are a far cry from influencers who earn big bucks from YouTube or Tiktok.

2. She keeps inserting herself into the spotlight when she should just be in the background. See that video explanation Caloy posted. Why did she need to be there? (And her constant giggling was not a good look)

I guess she want to be a celebrity... She was former music performer in the past... This is her chance to be a celebrity.. Well, this is Caloy's first GF.. so he is so in love with her... But anyway he has brothers and sisters who are also good in gymnastics... Both are very potential gold medalist if they were support by our sectors right... And with boxing's potential to be scrap at 2028 Olympics, we should turn our focus on athletics, gymnastics and weightlifting... We can still produce medals on those 3 categories... Although still hoping boxing still there at 2028...

there are plenty of athletes from other countries that has onlyfans account but mostly the accounts are just like a normal instagram account, though there are Paig Vanzant and Grace Charis that show more skin, the former WNBA and Australian player Liz Cambage is in between as some of her PPVs were naked

just watched UEFA supercup match between Real Madrid and Atalanta, i am kinda thinking what if Fiba organize a supercup match between Olympic gold medalist and Fiba WC Champs if both winners are from different countries
 
The toxicity of the fans here Philippines is too much.. their hate towards Yulo is now below the belt.. they don't know what is the real reason of family problems within Yulo camp.. they even pray of his failure in next Olympics because he doesn't forgive his mother... That's sucks... Honestly, the Filipinos are the worst fans on earth... Only here you will see his countrymen will pray for his/her failure due to personal/family reasons... I don't see this on other countries...
 
and most of these fuckers were the same people asking for reducing the budget for basketball, when they don't even give a single fck about sports but only interested on chismis about the personal lives of athletes, same people who are thirsting for pole vault players

That's fair ranking... Although I can't believe China and Iran still better rank than us... But we can't blame them, Chot ruined our rankings 2 years ago from 30 to 41 place... Atleast we climb up once again to 34... If we can finish at podium next year at FIBA Asia cup, we will see ourselves inside top 30 rankings or more...
 
I've been reading and watching news feeds esp during that Heroes Welcome at Malacanang.

but it seems that the must anticipated Department of Sports are not mentioned even a single word by our mainstream media

those pledges and promises about reviewing the existing laws on the Rewards and Benefits on the purpose of giving more to the athletes and coaches

that's good, it's inspiring

but establishing a Department will truly establish all the aspirations and programs we were hoping for Philippine sports moving forward.

we do hope some people in the mainstream media had the balls to open up that question to BBM and his Secretaries.

Yep Iran and China had a better 2019-2022 than us (2019 World Cup, Fiba Asia and the windows)

Maybe except in 2020 and 2021 under Tab Baldwin, we have good performance in just 2 year span under Baldwin... But SBP, PBA and Chot ruined the momentum... We just almost beat Serbia that time and beat Korea twice (Korea is much higher rank than Gilas that time)... I think one more mistake of China and Iran they will be eclipse by Gilas and even Jordan.. I understand Iran because their 2021 Olympic stint is still recorded under 8 year FIBA cycle for rankings...but honestly, they are lower than their current rankings today... They are even better than Croatia, Nigeria in rankings that I'm sure if they match up they will be blow out by them...
 
If China fumbles their promising lineup with Yang Hansen as the main man, they will surely lose their spot in Asia. However, to be fair, their youth team still seems to be the best non-Oceania team in FIBA Asia Youth. They are consistent with their youth program, but they keep fumbling when it comes to their senior team.
 
While our youth team is handled by the worst coach ever in the history of the youth team (almost at par with Franz Pumaren who abandoned minors abroad so he could coach Danding Cojuangco's team).

Did he though? Didn't he make it clear then that Jack Santiago (DLSU assistant) had to take a leave and wanted to be there with him?

That RP Youth Team had Matthew Wright, Norbert Torres, Gab Banal, and Sam Marata... they were already out of medal contention when Pumaren left (they did beat Iran in Iran who had a young Mohammad Jamshidi).

Danding's 2008 DLSU team (which Dindo Pumaren took over when Franz was in Iran) had Casio, Maierhoffer and a bunch of young players that weren't really pro-material except maybe LA Revilla and Bader Abdulla Jassim (known as Malabes when he came here).

That was a lifetime ago. No need to dig up skeletons. In 15 years, no one will be talking about how Josh Reyes' only play was to give the ball to Kiefer Alas. But then there's this shit.
