Watching the replay of France and Germany. French point guard rotation is godd*mn awful.

Offence sucked. It was like watching a Chot coached team but without Castro or Clarkson to bail him out

So according to the rules of knockout stages...

A draw after the preliminary round will decide the pairings, where a seeded team played an unseeded team. Teams qualified will be divided into four pots:
  • Pot D comprises the top two-ranked first-placed teams from the group phase.
  • Pot E comprises the lowest ranked first-placed team and the best-ranked second-placed team from the group phase.
  • Pot F comprises the remaining second-placed teams from the group phase.
  • Pot G comprises the two best third-placed teams.
Draw principles:
  • Teams from Pot D will be drawn against a team from Pot G and a team from Pot E against a team of Pot F.
  • Teams from the same group can not be drawn against each other in the quarterfinals.
That means Germany and possible USA will be the top two ranked teams.. both might avoid each other until the finals.. And that means Germany will play either Greece, South Sudan or Serbia in QF, depending what will happen in the match between SSD and Serbia while USA is already assure playing Brazil in QF, regarding the results between SSD and Serbia.. USA will not face either SSD or Serbia in QF because they are in same group and they will not face each other in QF... So it's 100% that USA vs Brazil in QF.. why not Greece? Because if Serbia wins less than 3, Greece will be out and SSD will be best 3rd placer between them.. And with the rule groupmates will not face each other in QF, it's Brazil that USA will face, while Germany plays SSD.. If Serbia beats SSD more than 3 pts, SSD will be eliminated and Greece will make it.. but since Brazil and Germany are groupmates, they will not face each other in QF.. so that means Germany will play Greece in QF while Brazil plays USA.. If SSD wins vs Serbia, still the same for USA, they will not play Serbia in QF, then Greece is out and Brazil plays US, or if SSD beats Serbia by 23, Serbia will be out and Because Germany can't play Brazil, It's USA vs Brazil then Germany vs Greece...

While 95% sure that Canada vs France will happen in QF... Since Australia and Canada will not face off in QF because they are groupmates... It will be re arrange if SSD beats Serbia (impossible but improbable).. that means Canada plays SSD then Australia plays France... But we all know SSD is super underdogs vs Serbia and Serbians want to win to avoid early tough opponent in QF... That's why I smell Canada vs France is another sure thing QF match....

If I were Jordi Fernandez, I will let Jamal Murray to lead the second unit alongside Andrew Nembhard and NAW, as if they are the starters.

I will never play Murray and SGA simultaneously since both players are ball dominant.

Maybe not all the times but having 2 together especially if they will play team USA, they have to play both of them in some stretches to match the firepower of USA team...

They are really missing Andrew Wiggins, Shaedon Sharpe, Brandon Clarke, Tristan Thompson, Chris Boucher and Benedict Mathurin.

SGA (31.0), Murray (21.2), Barrett (21.8), Dort (10.9) and Brooks (12.7). This team is no joke offensivewise.

Mathurin (14.5), Sharpe (15.9), Wiggins (13.2), and Clarke (11.3).

Offensive stats by these Canadians will be a challenge to US in the next few years.

While a 10-12 point stats are not really whopping, that stats may serve as a manifestation that the player is really a key part of the team in the NBA.

Olympic mvp ladder by fiba

I think Kevin Durant should be leading the mvp race, Lebron honestly hasn’t looked as good to me, he’s been having a problem with TOs. Whenever KD is on is when team USA seperates itself

Too bad the university games or universiade where this u22 best platform for them is backed by BAP so we arent sending a real national team in this games (I recall Junmar Fajardo led UC particiapted in the unigames)

damn it's surreal to see a filipino winning a gold medal in the olympics, i did not see the Diaz gold but this one i saw it in real time

Sh** tough loss for paalam

I did not understand why he choose to stop being the aggressor contrary to his previous fights.

We all know that in a match where points mattered, the aggressor always the upperhand.

I still think he won that though, he clearly had the quality punches.

The Aussies always raises his hand. It might be the trick there. Tsk tsk

Those where the chances of Paalam to attack. Letting that white boy raise his hands even though he did not do shit is a scum.

This gold is very sweet. Not to take away from Hidilyn but the impact was as not as big because it was a disqualification. Yulo did his best routine and it withstood the routines of the 5 who came after.
