So if Spain WINS vs Canada, Then
1st SPA (2-1)
2nd CAN (2-1)
3rd GRE (1-2) and
4th AUS (1-2) (eliminated)

But if Spain LOSES, Then
1st CAN (3-0)
2nd AUS (+6 PD)
3rd GRE (-1 PD) and
4th SPA (-5 PD)(Eliminated)

1. So either way Greece is guaranteed the 3rd place in their group with that win. They need South Sudan to lose by at least 3 points to qualify for Quarterfinals.
2. Spain can be either 1st or 4th depending on their performance tonight. that's WILD
3. The Boomers fucked that up. wow
4. Brazil (-7 PD) apparently is guaranteed a QF slot since they will be always higher than Greece's PD (-8 PD) no matter what happens to the SSD/Serbia game

If Spain wins that actually eliminates the Boomers since Greece will win their 3rd-4th place tie by the virtue of the win earlier. Greece must fixate on that SSD - Serbia game later. They need Serbia to handle their business on that game (by more than 3 at least)

They have to be strict cause someone could die? Imagine allowing someone to fight with loaded gloves or someone who's heavily dosing with PEDS. They could easily beat someone to death.

ah ok i only based it on the current standing i did not calculate the overall results of the game between the 3
 
Steph looked bad against Sudan. Seemed the length and physicality affected him. Didnt know he was efficient in previous outings. But I guess he is not in his prime anymore. Given that he doesnt have any notable physical advantage on hindsight his poor performance against lengthy and arhleric Sudan was not surprising.
 
On pint sized PGs I guess Kawamura makes a case. But Kawamura regularly plays against world imports. Thats the main difference he has against our sub 6 footers. And he does play defense. So this is a minus for RJ and a plus for SJ who IRC gives effort on defense.

The problem with our team before was we liked playing 2 small guards together. Just look at Chot playing SJ and Kiefer. Tab knew he had to pick RJ and SJ because they were the best guards available. But he never played them together and in the OQT only one was activated in a game.

Lastly, this explains a lot why Kiefer is effective in B league. Tiba PGs dont post up. Kiefer, like most Pinoys, know how to post up smaller guys. Kiefer did this in that Asian level tourney game against JP. Doesnt really move the needle for him as only against JP in the world level teams can he do it.

yep that elevated testosterone level can lead to one mean punch that could result to a lifetime of regret

Main reason why Carini forfeited her match, the punch she received from Imane was too strong and broke her nose (she couldnt breathe),
 
The other 3rd placer team gets the nod.

Yeah totally agree, at the end of the day, they always have an advantage especially on a combat sports.
 
Man if only Canada also had Wiggins, Sharpe and Clarke.

Barring any upsets, it looks like USA, Canada and Germany for the medals.

Canada has 1 big (powell) and 4 perimeter guys (brooks, barrett, Dort, SGA)
 
Spain is in new era, I never see guys above 6'10.. that 4 guy is 6'9 at most

Canada is probably one good center away to give USA some fits. Their center rotation Olynik, Powe and Birch work hard, but they dont scare anybody. Definitely not Aussie center Landale who feasted on them.

I read this before last year, and i have to agree: Dillion Brooks is a perfect FIBA player: Sets screen, defends, uses his fouls wisely and let the other player feels the foul, and hits the open jumper.
