I remember back in 2009 there was a very similar case of a girl with a guy’s genetics(lack of a better term), she happens to be my classmate in UST. Her name is Serenata Saluan. The year she participated in the UAAP track and field her rookie year, she won the ROY and MVP that year. Here is an article of her rookie year.

Sucks that instead of having a scientific discussion regarding this, we have a polarized debate with both parties throwing non sequitur arguments

im all for inclusion and stuff, but combat sports is a different can of worms

just a question how can i keep my account logged in on a mobile phone, as i kept on getting logged out for every 2 minutes, while in my office PC and laptop i can close the browser or shut down my pc but when i open ibn i'm still logged in

anyways i am more frustrated with watanbe it seems he plays better in NBA than in national team, with all those years in NBA he should at least be the clear second best player in the roster

Most NBA players struggling to find place to be fit in FIBA rules... Even Steph Curry struggling... Remember what Luka, Giannis and Jokic said about the difference between NBA rules and FIBA rules.. that is a fact check... Carlik Jones look Curry a regular G league player.. Jones easily outplayed curry in their match...

You were literally dickriding Oscar Schmidt hard lmao. You were crowning him as the GOAT putting him with Michael Jordan in a sentence without having his records and stats being official.

So I guess if praising a team for their good program is a dickriding, then what you are doing is an understatement of dickriding.

GOAT in FIBA... Did you understand that.. did I said he's the GOAT all time? And who by the way is the number 1 scorer in FIBA and Olympics? And by the way there is huge difference between NBA setting and FIBA setting.. Steph Curry, one of the best players in this generation but in this event, he was look like a regular player... He look Carlik Jones better than him... This is because of the rules between two leagues...

Steph is actually a good FIBA player, especially with regards to his shooting. He shoots around 40% from 3 in his World Cups.

Not only combat sports but also contact sports (basketball, rugby, football, etc.) and sports that require strength (weightlifting, shotput, javelin throw), length and athleticism (basketball, volleyball, track and field).

The Japanese are good because of only one thing: familiarity and confidence playing against tall players/teams.

To add to that, world teams playing against Japan are also not familiar with playing against a small team. They cannot device a strategy or adjust quickly, that's why some European teams struggle against them. Tactically, its easy to be effective against Japan: Exploit the mismatches. They are not good one on one defenders. Hovasse is not a defensive coach

I'm sure France didn't scout Japan.. that's why France struggling against Japan and even I admit, Latvia overlook us when we faced them.. Latvians relaxed early against us in the 1st half.. but I'm sure if Latvia and Gilas face again, I'm sure Latvia will beat Philippines big time... But the difference here, we won vs Latvia while Japan lose to France.. it will be in the FIBA record books that we beat Latvia... As many said, moral victories is not valid.. So that means Japan almost beat France is just a moral victory only but in the end, they still lose...

The only advantage Japan was they got the olympics, we dont.. we technically won our two matches in oqt, but one is already a handicap in our favor since Georgia need to beat us by big margin

Steph is actually a good FIBA player, especially with regards to his shooting. He shoots around 40% from 3 in his World Cups.

But his defense is sub par.. in NBA setting, because of longer court and no 3 sec defensive violation rule, Steph can blow by most of his defenders and Steve Kerr have a good job hiding Curry's lack of defense... this is opposite in FIBA, It's hard to hide Steph's lack of defensive capabilities due to rules in FIBA... USA is better when KD and Bron alongside with Davis, White and Holiday... Because the latter 3 are two way players... That 5 is unstoppable in FIBA setting...

This isnt just familiarity notice how Japanese player was ten years ago, toughness was never in their vocabulary, they thought BMi matters in basketball but when they realize muscle is the name of the game, they become much better basketball playing antion..

Yeah combat sports is quite of a reach when it comes to inclusion since it involves physical pain. Although I remember my classmate got “ban” by the UAAP after her rookie year

Greece wins over Boomers 77-71

now canada needs to beat spain later for boomers to qualify

Asian teams now find a solution how to beat some European teams... But Asians can't find solution how to beat Latinos... Latinos are mixture of some European style of play and American style.. this is very hard to Asian teams because most of Asian teams are unathletic compare to Latinos...

So who qualifies as the 3rd best team with after that Greece victory over the Aussies ??

and i thought the greeks are already out by starting 0-2

So what is the PD of 3 teams? What is the chance of Greece qualify even as a 3rd place team?

greece will take 2nd spot of the group.. if canada wins, spain will be 1-2 tied with boomers but boomers have a better quotient..

The point is, what you are doing is not dickriding? We are giving props to Japan the way they play and their success just like how you praise him, so, do you think you also ain't dickriding by using your logic?

ah better explanation of things

From Twitter

The Australian Boomers fall 77-71 to Greece to finish the group phase of the Paris Olympics 1-2.

The equation is now simple:
• If Canada beats Spain, the Boomers finish in 2nd place and are through to the quarterfinals.
• If Spain beats Canada, the Boomers are eliminated.

Olgun Uluc

Here’s the explainer.

• If Canada wins, all of AUS, ESP, GRE would be 1-2. The head-to-head is even, so it comes down to points differential in games between those three teams (AUS +6, ESP -5, GRE -1), putting AUS in 2nd in the group.
• If Spain wins, then they move to 2-1; AUS and GRE are 1-2. GRE wins that head-to-head, so they’re 3rd and AUS would finish 4th.

Greece will qualify as one of the 3rd best teams if Canada beat Spain by more than 3 points and Serbia beat South Sudan by more than 2 points, if Spain wins against Canada, Greece will be out as it will be between Brasil, Serbia and SSD for the last spot as Australia will qualify with -4, if only greece took care of their big lead

Brazil -7
Spain -5
SSD -6
Serbia +15
Australia - 4

for South Sudan they really need to beat serbia
While for Serbia they should not lose by more than 21
so Greece really needs a Canada win later to qualify outright i thought they will base it on quotient in case of triple tie
