jimmy alapag is the closest

Ang layo hahha, Jimmy can score but he isnt able to score the way you expect him in big games.. what he had is the muscle memory three game from beyond 27 feet.. what makes him apart is his cnditioning, his commitment to defense and passing the ball

Sayang! still good game by japan. happy for asian basketball japan, philippines and lebanon are doing good at world stage.

Not surprise at the results though france is still contender, complacency is their problem just look at their history againts weaker teams.

I always wonder why despite having a formidable line up back in early 2010’s, france always struggle to win even just the eurocup and now i know why(vincent collett)

Be honest guys, is China and Lebanon beating this current Japan team?

Is the current composition of Gilas beating this Japan team that took Wemby and Gobert to OT?

I.... don't think so.

Kawamura is small, but his ability to create shots, penetrate at will, make good passes is really valuable

theirs a reason why japan progressed in basketball.. people all over have positive comments on their basketball program plus good league..

it’s just people are jealous on the progress on japan ball that they decide to say negative things on japan ball program.. both womens and men’s ball program are doing great..

live by the three die by the three, there's a reason why france sucked ass in the world cup, Rudy can't score in the paint to save his life sans putback dunks

It is crazy that RJ is older than him and he would still need 3 years to be better than him lol. To think that they are both playing on Asian level.

actually they might be equal already. That is Kawamura's peak, RJ will only get better. RJ is an almost ROY-MVP in the KBL if not for korean officials getting insecure with Filipino players. let us not forget that.

If anything, Japan is the only one getting recognition from this game.

This is a good point, Kawamura has already become bleague mvp and is trying out for nba teams. The timeline for Japan is different when it comes to development

If only Hovasse reminded all the players to back off from 3pt attempts...

Beating the hosts on their home floor with "The Alien" would have been like winning the Gold for any Asian team.

bro should have left Strazel wide open. it would have fcked with his psyche or they still lead by one.

i thought 20 point blowouts ? hahaha why are we in OT bro?

still take the L *****, outside of Wemby is trash and still manage to win, if Japan knows other play than chucking 3's they might even beat this team at the end of the day Japan still has 0 wins in the tournament

Gilas still has that title lmao.

Countless "sayang, kaya yon e." from 2014 to this day.

Yeah but none bigger than this. 4pt lead with 16secs to go on the opponent's home floor in the Olympic Games against the next generation's best player.
