This SSD team plays for each other. Never say die. Damn.

In the end, they gave up a Lebron one on one who can drive on his left just as good as his right because Jones was hounding Curry. Still a good game by SSD.

AD changed Jones' shot trajectory but SSD was fouled in the end. Team USA will hear it from the media lol.

Where are those people who mocking me here telling I just overhyping South Sudan? I'm sure some of them for sure now silent... A country who only existed 13 years ago, A country who has a GDP of only 6.52, one of the lowest in the earth, no facilities, no arenas to play with... There are also documentaries that they are practicing only with a covered court basketball, not a standard one then while practicing, some rebellions attacked their place where they practice... A true definition of an underdog

Still no KD. One has to wonder if he will simply disrupt chemistry. He should have been the one booted, not Kawhi. US defense being exposed today.

Carlik wants an NBA contract badly.

US with a single 3pt shot in the 1st half. LOL

That's why we should not copy US style of program in the national team.. national team games is not an all star game

USA needs a European assistant. They got all the tools but they don't play like a cohesive unit. As the commentator said: SSD is in sync and fluid

They will not do that... They have their egos, they think American brand of basketball is still the best in the world...

The way they butt fcked the 3rd best asian team last yr?

They will fucked Japan too... They are too small for SSD... Last year, I always said that SSD is not our best match up, even all of Asian teams.. their length, size, versatility are too much to handle...

Jones is the one deserving to have a real NBA contract, but South Sudan is not a potential market, boy is playing well will be a good off the bench guard that can control the offense for the 2nd unit

I don't know but South Sudan is the most loyal, most rabid and even most annoying fanbase in Africa in terms of basketball.. All African countries are football mad countries, they only treating basketball as 2nd or lower fiddle interest depending on the countries interest... Last year when some Filipinos doing their livestream on FB, SSD fans are also watching and like our attitude towards Gilas, they are also the same for SSD... I think they are the only African nation that love other sport (basketball), than football... Not declare yet but South Sudan is already another basketball country like us, Lithuania or China...

hot take but we match up well with South Sudan. it was just Chot's questionable rotations throughout the competition. Abando AJ Kai inexperience also didn't help but that exact 5 (Kai, Rhenz, Dwight, JC, Dwight) if they played together since the start of the tournament for extended periods of time they would have peaked during that SSD game.

Nevermind Kai being eaten by KAT, he needs minutes to get his confidence. By the time Chot realized this vs SSD it was too late.

That's why we need a "real" 5-7 man core, even Gilas changing coach, the players' familiarity is there... This is what CTC wants.. maybe we want heading or Abando or Baltazar, but this decision by CTC to stick to his players is a good decision... I'm sure many here don't like Oftana or Perez or someone else but all of them are important pieces for CTC... He values team chemistry and familiarity over talent...Maybe here For sure pick Heading over Oftana but in the eyes of CTC, Oftana is more value in his system than Heading...

Any other player who had a triple double against USA Team A besides Carlik Jones?

Rob most SSD's players are born from immigrants in countries like USA and Australia .
( been lurking here since forever).

It's amazing how South Sudan was able to make a Hugot System work for them.

Their players are from all around the world and yet they play with so much cohesion and chemistry.

That is also the same for the rest of the world.. where is Embiid came from? Even most of Gilas players are born overseas.. The bottomline here is despite they are one of the poorest countries in the world, they have solid basketball program that most of develop countries such as China, Korea, Philippines, etc... still struggling to be competitive worldwide, they have facilities, earning millions w/o leaving overseas and have basketball culture...

Nope... Their line up is already the same since 2020, only additions are Jones, Gabriel and Maluach, who were only additional players last year.. but guys like Onot, Dech, Mayouk, Dieng, Shayok, etc... are already with SSD team since pre qualifiers of Afrobasket, who played in not standard basketball courts...
