Also we need to find younger Newsome in the future… Newsome is 35 already…

If Andy Gemao became a player who handles the ball, there goes our next Newsome. An athletic guard that loves to penetrate but can be a point guard if needed.

6 point lead by gilas! defense is the key good thing Brazil don't shoot 3s that well.

Brazil is slightly scared. A third-quarter Gilas storm will suck the soul out of them. Let's hope for the best.

I am not really familiar with the playstyle of Boatwright, but is he typical big or he is an agile one? If he is indeed a modern agile big then sky is the limit for this team.

He is agile scorer. He can play 3 or 4. Question his defense if as good as Brownlee

Plus he is young (27 yrs old), good for 2-3 fiba cycles, and cheap compared to clarkson and blatche

The answer is no. Team/help defense will be vital. That’s why Kouame’s exception is a must if Benny is to be our future NP. And also defensive guards/wings like Newsome, Thompson, Ramos and Navarro to deter penetrations and rim attacks if Boatwright is on the floor.

This is the sad part of having Junmar in defense… Brazil coach adjust in the 2nd half and they put their bigs to perimeter to his long shots since they knew Junmar is liability

Brazil is also playing slow and deliberate like Gilas. They are still dangerous. Sooner or later they will find their form.

Just what I wrote, Brazil have found their form.

Aguilar with a passing turnover and gave up two triples fueled the Brazilian comeback.

It’s Gilas’ turn to adjust.

Also since the second, offense has stagnated, Brazil can play good D because of athleticism and length. They’ve been putting tons of pressure on Brownlee and shut him down
