Guy is talented but now I knew he averaged 6 and 5 in nba, if he was mature enough and not get his emotion got best of him he can earn a starting spot in the league

I agree, i remember getting him in my fantasy team years go when he had that solid stretch of games back when he was still with indiana haha.

Brazil need not to lose by 15, camerron only needs to win by 7, this is a tanktastic scenario

Thanks for clearing it up, yup cameroon is much more beatable than any of the other 2.

Edit: and if im cameroon i rather face gilas too than getting latvia haha

As long as our players don't get too bothered by Cameroons inhuman lengths, this is a team where you can make a lead and keep it. Definitely a better scenario for gilas, I don't think we have the personnel to keep Brazil's speed advantage at bay, this is gonna look like the DR game with Tab Baldwin's oqt team, latam teams plays the kind of small ball that we are striving for with frontcourts of KQ, Tamayo, Amos and backcourts Perez, Ramos and Newsome but we have not achieved the required athleticism to do effectively.

And the young trio of KQ, Carl and even Mason is used against African opposition (specially ligang labas honed kq)

If Kai's diagnosis is even worse, ctc might be forced to use mason to give starters some rest

Lebanon might make it to semis also

lebanon got lucky with the draw, being drawn with an African team gave them a better chance to move in the semis, let's see how they will fare against Bahamas if in case they win against Angola

welp Brazil it is, curious how this will go, hope gilas proves me wrong again

Brazil has a good sense of humor and smarts.

The slavs always have a dangerous tall and talented team. Getting rid of them was obvious, as montenegro has real chances of beating latvia.

Now, brazil can get a team that was easily whooped by the philippines in the finals. Unless our nt boots out the brazilians.

And in case, by some miracle, cameroon wins, brazil gets an even more beatable team in the finals. Brazil clearly saw that our nt doesnt want monten:Dgro, as destroying georgia was clearly more than possible for our team

That was a master stroke by the brazilians.:D

what? the only strategy you should employ in a competition this short with 6 fkin teams is to win all of the games. Or if you have a super short schedule where you won't even be getting a full days rest till the next game, rest your important players so they can perform better at the more important stages even if it means taking a non-bearing L

It seems the competition in international basketball are getting more competitive.. This might be the 1st time Asian teams make it to the next round since 2000 (?)… not just one but two Asians make it… I’m happy for Asian basketball… we are not whipping boys anymore in world basketball… hoping for success of both Gilas and Lebanon… it will be benefit for future success of Asian basketball…

Brazil is reminiscent of the 2014 Gilas Team. 3 guards and 1 modern big. Small ball.

Bruno Caboclo is a matchup problem. Can shoot the 3, can slash, pound it inside, go coast to coast. Do it all. He's like Andray Blatche but less fancy.

Marcelo Huertas is a master of the pick and roll. Good reads almost every possession. But he's 41 years old. Tire him out early by pressing.

Raul Neto, another undersized guard, only 6'2. Crafty finisher, good stroke, can catch-and-shoot, prefers to snake screens, can dissect the defense, very decisive scorer. Not sure how to stop this guy.

Yago Santos, diminutive guard. Another facilitator for Brazil. Streakyyyy shooter. Reminds me so much of Jimmy Alapag.

I say on ball screens let Caboclo touch the ball when he rolls then just funnel him to our bigs but never let these 3 guards burn us from deep or it's gonna be a reallly long night.

Can't say whether we're fvcked or not because their offense is kinda predictable compared to Latvia and Georgia. Feed the ball to the post, drive then drop, pick and roll here and there, drive and kicks to corner, repeat. Pretty basic stuff. They're just doing it with finesse and speed.

If Kai can play our size may overwhelm Caboclo, but definitely Newsome CJ and Dwight needs to keep up with the pace and tempo Brazil is playing. This is a battle of stamina.

Oftana and Tamayo are unplayable in this game sure they're just gonna get blown by each possession.

Also another strategy is to attack Caboclo early and not settle for threes. Literally hunt him and maybe we can get him into foul trouble. Without him on the floor asserting his dominance the other 3 guards can be contained.

Georgia did it by resting Shengelia vs Latvia… but it backfired after the shock win of Gilas vs Latvia… We could have won the game vs Georgia but CTC has other plans, he knows the real battle is in the playoffs.. giving meaningful playing time for Quiambao and Tamayo helps our chances because both can capable to play back up minutes in this crucial tourney… if it is Chot, those two will be benched…

Well l, we have some of relief because Raul Neto is out of this competition due to injury… one less worries… but they are other players can capable to take over… this Brazil team beat NBA powered Canadian team last year…so again in this match up, we are again underdogs… but atleast we have one day rest right now… JB and co can recharge and refocus before the biggest games of their career tomorrow…
