I'm more convinced that the most probable reason for the PBA not scheduling its off season during the months of July, August & September is that since that period is the off season of the NBA L, Euroleague & all other basketball pro leagues all over the planet, masosolo ng PBA ang Pinoy viewership. Pinoy basketball fans will have no choice but to watch PBA becoz there's no other basketball event to choose from. Although FIBA tournaments are held in this period, those tournaments like FIBA World Cup, FIBA Asia Cup, Olympics last for only 2 weeks.

With the number of times the PBA schedule has changed over the years, there's really no fixed off-seasons. Just mere turnarounds in-between conferences. FIBA will only take up less than a week every 4 months plus however long a Continental Cup or World Cup lasts depending on the year plus the odd SEA Games or Asian Games, that's less than an eigth of an entire year. I'm not suggesting the reasons why I think they can't adjust the other 7/8ths of the time is lame (some of it like making money is valid), it's just that there are a lot of ways to allow for better preparation in FIBA that will never happen because of how the PBA insists they are unique as if they're better than everyone else here when they're clearly an inferior basketball product.

NBA-style rules and officiating, the 3-conference format, height limits on foreign players, the absence of home and away games, twice a week games being a norm... the scheduling is nothing more than a by-product of the league's incompetence... and die hard Gilas fans expect them to adapt? That ship sailed 17 years ago.

Personally, I will be following the tournament in Latvia with Group A involving Georgia, the Philippines, and Latvia.
It's a good time for betting, although I prefer games of chance like slots. If you're interested in this topic too, I recommend checking out the helpful article https://valismaa-kasiinod.com/hasartmangude/piirangu-kustutamine/ on how to remove self-exclusion from a casino online in Estonia. The tips described in this article recently helped me, so I was able to continue playing without any problems. Overall, don't forget about the basics of responsible gaming and just enjoy the thrill.

Not all countries has that resources that Lithuanians, Serbians or Latvians have... I respect their opinion and they are still competitive even w/o NP, but NPs are only key, especially for low tier basketball programs to improve their national teams.. This Naturalization spots are optional, If they think this is not ideal then they can not tap it, But atleast they have option to strengthen their respective national teams thru this and to popularize basketball more on those countries that basketball is just a niche sport... In the end of the day, Winning still important....

So ugly. Haha

At least their squad can defend now. The FIBA WC proved that positionless basketball is useless if they're giving up good looks on the other end. All those offensively-switchable parts before like Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, Bobby Portis, Brandon Ingram, and Cam Johnson... imagine a zone defense of Jrue, Tatum, Embiid, Kawhi, and maybe LeBron. No choice for other teams but to chuck contested threes.

US will be the clear favorites here. However, the challenge will come from Canada and France.

france was salivating at the thought of having a frontline of gobert, wemby, & embiid in paris when embiid got his french citizenship in 2022, but team usa got first dibs on embiid even though he got his american citizenship a few months later

Had France gotten Embiid, that would have given USA problems in the frontline.

France has a frontline duo in Wemby and Gobert. They will also have Batum, Fournier, Yabusele, Luwawu-Cabarot and Frank Ntilikina. Draft prospects like Alex Sarr, Risacher, Salaun, Dadiet and Ajinca will also be in consideration. In addition, there are 18 other active French players that currently in the NBA or has played in the NBA. In terms of depth, France can go all-in this year.

Canada also has a bunch of NBA players. Many of them are either starters or within their team's rotation, some of them are even stars for their teams. Like France, Canada can also go all-in here.

Canada will be a beast if Jamal Murray finally joins the team.

Strong backcourt with shai and Murray, nice wing rotation as well with wiggins(if available), brooks and NAW. Weakness is bigman rotation and I don’t know if Edey would be helpful even if he dominated college

Accurate summary of the canadian men's basketball team. Would also like to mention Dort and Barrett to add in the wing rotation. Bigs with Olynyck, Powell and Edey as mentioned are weak compared to the heavy weights like USA and France. Jordi did a good job as well with the team last world cup.
