First of all, thank you guys! Today might be the best sport-related day in my life. Major kudos to Serbia! Overcoming so many obstacles and still fighting for the World Cup Title till the end might be as much of a cinderella story as Germany and Latvia are praised to be. It was joyful to watch, how nicely the Serbian team congratulated our team right after the game, that was class. I was lacking class as aspected during the game, that's something I knew in advance, but after someone was accusing the refs of shipping us, I threw my principles away and started to spam this thread during the game. Calling Avramovic a clown, is not nice, that is for sure. I won't lose any sleep over though, as I can't stand players faking like this. Yes, I might lack some objectivity, and in this certain situation Schroeder made a dirty play creating contact with his leg, but to pretend to be kicked at the head lacks sportsmanship. At some point, maybe after I watched the game in relive without overboarding emotions, I will come back to discuss about the FIBA refs. Something has to be done. Until that, I will praise our complete team, our hidden heroes as Bonga and Voigtmann. Both played a complete game, offensively and defensively, I haven't seen this coming. Not sure what else I can contribute to this game, the stories after the win were way more beautiful than this great performance on the court. The interviews, the celebration of Coach Herbert and all players involved, even Kraemer, as a German you have to love this team. The chemistry is unique spoken of my German perspective, how they treat all the people from the media, the staff behind the team, how the players outside the rotation enjoy to be part of this team, it is a joy. Same as the interview of the parents of the Wagner brothers. Sooo modest and kind, no wonder Franz and Moe turned into super humble, reflective and nice human beings. F*cking Andy Obst and Thiemann who I have seen playing for Bambergs cooperational team in the third and second division, hugging each other right after the game, it gave me goosebumps. Thiemann was not even supposed to become a first divisional player in Germany, he is the result of worth ethic only. Obst was talented, but it was a long and difficult way for him to get on this level. During an internships some years ago I was able to watch him in practice every single day and I can say, it's no coincidence he developed into some player receiving MVP chants. Always the first, always the last in practice. He is a great guy as well, making constantly fun of himself, being nice to everyone. This WC title is not special because of the outcome, it's special because of the journey. As the parents of the Wagner brothers said, the golden medal is glittering nicely, but the thing what matters to them is the sparkle in their sons happy eyes. There is cinderella everywhere and I am going to enjoy this. I wish you all a great evening and thank you guys, for you nicely comments after the game.
