World Cup gives the most points, than Olympics, than Eurobasket!

If Slovenia was ranked like 20th place and beatings all favorites and winning World cup they get to the podium in World rankings.

Slovenia was pretty low before Eurobasket, winning all 9 games, among them Spain, France and Serbia.

But my point is, wtf has 6 years old tournament with current ratings? You really don't understand how idiotic is that?

Slovenia was much better than Latvia in every competition since Eurobasket 2017, Olympics and Eurobasket, and was only 2 places behind Latvia in WC, but Latvia is in front of them by a lot, just because Latvia didn't even qualify for Olympics and Eurobasket so those tournaments don't count. Lol

You can look this way- team who not played In Eurobasket 2022(not the best top24 Euro team) beat top teams in the world.

And this is World Cup which gives most points(WC gives 2,5 points, OS 2 and Eurobasket gets 1)!

Ok i get all that reward underdog teams but not like that in 5 games one underdog team can overcome half elite NTs that was building those rankings points for 5-6 years with medal level tournament play

So fiba ranking shows who was best NTs in last 8 years or they showing rankings who was best for 2 weeks in September?

FIBA ranking says top30 can't win against World Champion, and medalist France, but Latvia is different animal this case.(because of these windows and bad coaching)
This is for Canada too- with full NBA roster they are top5 team in the world, but ranking give them only 15th place.

The issue is that a team that participates without its very best players to the World cup and/or the wild card tournament, can't easily qualify to the Olympics, so that the players can show up there.

And since it is easier to qualify for the Eurobasket, even teams with incomplete rosters participate. So the Eurobasket may hold the most fair qualification system.

Latvia started with lowest seed possible(which matters in this case) and winning all best seeds possible!
If Germany was 30th seed like Latvia then they would be rank leader by now.

Slovenia lost to Bosnia, Poland only in Eurobasket 2022!
