Didn’t realize the Thais have their own potential CStan- a 6’8” half-German player that played for the German U-18 team and played D1 ball in the States, but might be getting his Thai passport soon. Unlike CStan, he’s playing in a higher-tier league inthe Bundesliga.

Look up “Martin Breunig” because for some reason I can’t paste links.

Nah its a requirement to play in the PBA. Dad is getting married.

yup should be the case as we dont want to have another pringle case whoo just acquired his passport on 2018 4 years after playing the league, hopefully mukey isnt the last batch of the filams taht was allowed just to be able to play in pba (doj clearance as reqt)

if mikey is demanding hefty salary, how much more of the barefields, the stephen holts in the world..

Sorry to disagree with U bro but I don't think we have treated SEA Games lightly. Its the FIBA Asia Cup that we failed to send a competitive & well prepared team in the last editions of that tournament - 2017 & 2022. Remember our SEA Games Gilas team in 2019 coached by Tim Cone? That team was made up of the cream of the crop of the PBA. Malakas pa yun sa ating ill-fated Gilas team that sucked in the 2019 FIBA World Cup, composition wise. Eh kasi feeling ng mga magagaling dyan sa PBA & SBP was that a great performance in the 2019 SEA Games would somewhat appease the disgruntled Pinoy fans who were feeling the stigma of Gilas embarassing performance in the 2019 World Cup. I say, its stupidity.

Yung contention ko nga bro is, parang mas priority pa ng PBA & SBP to send a competent team to the SEA Games than in the FIBA Asia Cup.

The Philippines was the host of the 2019 SEAG edition so its probably a good fitting to make a display. But until a few years ago we were sending amateurs or college players to SEA Games with the group of Kiefer Ravena and Parks as the last batch while we've been sending pros to Asian Games, Fiba Asia or ABC Championship as it was formerly called. Fiba Asia was taken serioulsly with Tab at the helm until he was booted out a couple of years ago. Not surprised if we sent a weak team last year to FIBA as you claimed as we're back to hugot system again.

If Ben Phillips makes Gilas because he attends every practice, ill understand it but LOL.

Kung mag pabebe si Erram pasok yan sa final 12 haha
why not line up kouame on both 3x3 and 5x5
Puede naman yun maaga natatapos 3x3 eh early days of the events.

Goal of the SEA Games for me now should be to prepare younger ineligibles, plus an additional goal either to prepare young FIBA-eligible players and/or prepare the WC lineup. I guess we might just get totally the "prepare the younger ineligibles" with Miah, BGR, and M. Phillips, but only get part of the latter two objectives.

The only young FIBA-eligible guys there in the pool are Mason Amos, Schonny Winston, and Jerom Lastimosa. Arvin, Oftana, Black, and Malonzo are approaching their primes or in their primes at 26-28.

Only WC pool players (for me) who have practiced are Perez, Newsome, and Mason. Hope the others (apart from Scottie, Malonzo, and to an extent Kai, Carl, Heading, Dwight, Parks) show up, especially Japeth and Oftana.

This is early, but I have a conception of what the pool should ideally look like:
Guards: Scottie, RJ, Bolick, Lastimosa, Dwight, Parks, Heading, Kiefer, JC (NP), Newsome
Wings: Malonzo, Brownlee (NP), Thirdy, Oftana
Tweeners: Tamayo, Mason, Baltazar
Bigs: Kai, AJ, Japeth, Kouame (NP)

From these guys, only Mason and Newsome have practiced with the team so far. Brownlee will be there, hopefully Oftana too.

Maybe SBP should have invited younger prospects instead of Almazan, Marcio, Alas, and even Pogoy? Mason and the Phillips brothers committed, despite their mother teams having a preseason tournament starting April 9. I think the other universities, especially Ateneo and maybe UP, would be open to lending players. If we're not looking to help the WC roster prepare, at least we'd develop the young ones.

Back and supposed to be willing

Even after a full season in KBL,well he's young needs only a little rest. PBA should really reschedule their conference if they're going to lend players,at least a month beofre a tournament statrts,so there will be some rest for those old tired weary legs.

Philippines preliminary games are against Vietnam, Malaysia and myanmar..
