lol mason amos not now, but team b...the knack on midget ball.. they wouldnt defend but shoot lot of threes, thats why abarrientos parks, abando can be good
 
There’s no special on this Gilas team, we can’t catch up coz we have no legit shooters. Just focus on thai and indo games.
 
With right preparation and game plan we can beat this camboadian team. but everytime i realized chot is coaching nvm lets just pray.

The debate between JB over JC should Stop JC is on different level.

Quinito is like Lorelai Gilmore, who spoiled her daughter Rory (PBA) excessively. This "coddling" resulted in the PBA growing up without a strong sense of accountability and developing an unwarranted sense of superiority. Admit it, Quinito. The PBA grew up to become a wh*re lmao.

Tbh even those guys would struggle on this team
 
I think its funny that Chot is moving the goal post to the Olympics when Tab had a team that was preparing to win in the WC. If you are setting worse expectations than your predecessor, why are you even there.
 
Why did the refs called T on gilas? And gave FT to Cambo? It doesn’t make sense

Well, the only shooters in this team are Mason and Arvin, so there.

Arent Parks and Kiefer have 3pts shooting also in the PBA? Why did they only learn that in BLeague

They ran some plays but I mean the Cambodians had good rim protectors so going inside was a problem because of the length, even Cstand with his unconventional layups was having problems, not to mention the guards they had were longer, stronger and more athletic so guys had trouble getting past them and getting good looks to pass or move around.
 
Good thing we have hermoso that could drive inside. Sayang coz he could’ve been local in fiba setup. Another credit to Sakuragi Phillips. Ange could’ve been a big help.

With lots of iso from the guards and jb. We cant score if we only have 1 or 2 set plays and then iso na the rest. Teams aint stupid enough to not notice. Tas defense pa na sobrang lacking. What an eyesore of a game, bonus na lang yung pagkapikon ni chot at the end. This just showed us everything wrong with gilas right now.
 
I think guys like Perez and Newsome can still improve. They need the reps against these level of teams to up their level. Mason is unfortunately a bad defender and a one track offensive player at this level. Arvin is a bad defender.

​​​​​We need guys like Dwight or even Malonzo at 3. Abando won't cut it. He is a 6'3 SF with limited handles. Gutang or Albano might be better choices as they are bigger ball handlers if I am not mistaken.
 
Phillips was a +5 that game and he did it on defense alone, imagine if he actually converted on those put-backs or just kicked the ball out? Brownlee (3/13) and Perez (4/14) were trash today. That's Chot's offense for you. Deny the corner and wing shooters, it's all up to the guys taking contested floaters. It took Chot three quarters to adjust to the physicality when two Cambodians were in foul trouble when they were already down 20 and playing catch-up.
