I’m hoping there’s no more alibis/excuses, this time. Just accept the defeat if Gilas couldn’t get the gold again this time.

Before the backing out of players like Scottie, AJ, and Malonzo, and the unavailability of Japeth, I frankly valued chemistry-building for the WC pool and/or youth development more than getting the gold, although the winning feeling can help.

This team as presently constructed looks like it has no direction other than winning the gold and maybe making the PBA more attractive, so we better fucking win, apologies for the language. If we lose, a lot of blame to go around, a lot of people should be held accountable. The SBP executives, and even Chot as the program director. We couldn't complete our objective, and worse, it looks like we have no plan, whether for the short-term or long-term.

Again, please comprehend regarding my post. My opinion is pertaining more of the Cambo’s local/grassroots programme. It about how to improve their basketball. It’s like how you hype/lick Xavierro and Indo’s basketball (no argument, coz that’s your take). And another thing, no one is arguing if Cambo’s good at basketball. I didn’t say exaggeration take that they can beat this and that, blah blah.

Lols… how they will improve their locals by just sitting on the bench? You moron…. It’s that really proud that you win by just rigging the rules? 6 naturalized players (no whatsoever Cambodian heritage for 4 players) for a national team setting? Are you joking?

For all its worth, Cambodia just beat Thailand in 3x3. 5x5 is a whole diff ball game though and lack of bench may undo them.

They might win 3x3 gold… Thais won last year… and these Americans disguise Cambodian team … they have one local player, but he was sitting on the bench only… poor local Cambodian guy

Sorry but you didn’t comprehend on my post.

I agree with you on this one. If they win, PBA has good image again. If they lose, it’s another pin-pointing again (blaming game). So i’ll just sit back and relax hoping the team wouldn’t messed up.

If we lose, I'd call for the heads of the SBP brass, but we're preparing for a WC, and one of the last things we need is instability. Furthermore, there's no telling if worse people will replace the current idiots in charge.

If we win, great. Sad that it took a good lineup. We lost the last one (which was frankly winnable, so no excuses) through personnel mismanagement and tactical blunders, especially on defense.

Some fans are like dogs barking regarding other countries lineup LOL. Afaik, SEA neighbours followed the rules(no argument here period)

Instead of complaining about it, why not focus on ways we can beat them? Work on tactics and lineup combinations that we can use to beat them.

LOL at Pinoys, Vietnamese and Indonesian fans going at it at Bong ro TV livestream, Vietnamese fans calling team Cambodia The United States of Cambodia

Ben's 6'5"-6'6", but he's mainly a role playing stretch big.

If guys from the PNVF were not as screwball as their counterpart from the SBP, they would have snag Ben from basketball, Him, fellow 6'7 Fil-AM Steven Rotter, and Bagunas would be solid on the net

Problem is, PNVF and PFF are just as screwballs as the SBP. Hahahahahaha.

Okay so NO Jeremiah Gray and Aaron Black instead we have Tolentino and Lastimosa.. probably the missed practices for Gray, anyway then can use the reserves in some games

If Philipps proves to fill the need fot a workhorse interior player, he may actually be a good target to get a last minute exception for the World cup.

They wrote the rules, of course they are following it. Now personally its on the individual if one wants to respects wins/losses done through these kind of means. Personally, not a fan. At least have some connection to a country.

Cambodia opened the floodgates for ineligibles. Theres nobody else to blame but us for not taking advantage of it. We have the most number of ineligibles.

While I would admit we were first to bring in naturalized players with zero connections to the country (Blatche, Douthit)and that was a mistake. This is a new step. An escalation of the nonsense if you will. Cambodia didnt have to escalate this nonsense. They are liable for that.

Not a fan either but they imposed the rules. If the criteria of the host would be based on age bracket (let’s say u23) that would be good I supposed. But the host and other countries would have hard time playing against the PH. But yeah i agree with you, somebody already brought the naturalisation thing and other will follow suit. In basketball context, we’re already in the globalisation era.

I don’t think we can change lineups once submitted officially. We stick to the final 12 even if there’d be injuries.
