Lowest finish...so far! I'm sure Josh could do worse.

I know a lot of people would hate me for saying this but maybe its better that we lose our game vs. Iran for the battle for 7th place so as SBP would decide to kick Josh Reyes' ass.

If its still this "momoy" coach who will handle our U-18 team, walang patutunguhan ang team na yun. So its much better that somebody else would coach that team.

Itong mag amang Reyes na to ang magpapahamak sa Philippine basketball.

Isnt Konov much different from Navarro in that Navarro is a non shooter that knows where to be and what to do?

is it Konov who's playing as a naturalized for B.Gilas? really came away impressed w/ him legit, pero i must have missed it pero can he actually go to his right for the 1-2 dribble pull ups? All i saw was him going to his left.

Yes Japan is a great team this year. Batang Gilas had bad luck in the draw and faced Japan early in the tournament. The Japan big kid is versatile and has US NCAA potential.

And just like what people said it was a "winnable" game..

Actually the weird thing is coming out of Greece , Navarro was thought to be a shooter . I think with time playing smart and being at the right place can be taught.
People nit pick U16 players and absolutely they still have lots of flaws and are raw.. I think all these things can be fixed with coaching
.

Some trivia, in Ateneo trainings some players are not allowed to shoot in scrimmages until they fix their stroke. Lol a giveaway.
Even when he was with the Panathinaikos youth team they played him at the 4 position, IIRC.

I hope Norwood puts Caelum under his wing and teach him how to defend. Caelum should also learn from Kobe Bryant's game. Kobe TOOK PRIDE in shutting down the best player of the opposing team. He made it his mission to study how his opponents play to defend them properly. Bryant's book is a great read. It reveals the genius behind Kobe Bryant's success.

If he'll be fired, he'll be fired regardless if they win or lose against Iran. I don't think one win would matter.

However, if they want to keep him for whatever reason, even if he loses by 100, he won't get fired. Hahaha

Hello. Haven't posted for a while. Serious question. Why is Josh Reyes coaching the youth (U16) team? What has he proven to be given this task?

We’re making a run, let me put EZ Mil out there. -Josh

Terribly coached first half. No sense of urgency whatsoever, from players to the coach. If they come out with this aura for the second half, 8th place it is.

Iran is playing old school basketball by pounding the paint. Josh was too slow to react and let Iran build confidence and momentum. I rarely call out the coaching but this one’s too frustrating.

It's been proven he's Chot Reyes' son. That's a big enough credentials for SBP.

Ez Mill needs to have his requisite PT to makeup for the money his dad probably gave to the team. This is the problem with nepotism. Sooner or later it affects decision making for the worse.

inexperience is really showing on josh part.. they prepare early (april), can’t blame the preparation on this nor the players.. we have good set of players (with exemption of legolas) yet we’re here in battle for 7th spot. put the blame on coaching..

sir enzo mentioned that it was not unanimous decision on final 12..

We won the game, 95-87. But I guess nobody's interested in Josh's small victory haha

this is a question no one has answered yet: What are the qualifications of Josh Reyes why he should be coaching the U16 national team? Aside from being the son. haha

Veselin Matić led India is leading by 15 against Korea in the 5th place game with under 2 minutes left. They led as high as 20+. I wonder how far we could have come under better leadership.
