Yup with an EZ MIl sighting.

do you think Santi Romero will get all of these negative comments if he is not:

1. sporting the most attention-grabbing, outlandish blond hair-do
2. the son of a billionaire

he's young, the kid will still learn from his mistakes. and for a son of a billionaire i sense no braggadocio in him. who knows? maybe 2 years from now he may finally tap his inner giovanni giorgio.

I truly think that he'll be more help rapping on the bench motivating his teammates instead of being out there on the floor being the most headless chicken of them all.

Maybe not as bad because he stands out with his looks and play.

He still has no business playing for the NT imo.

he's easily the worst player in the team by a huge margin. if we're gonna put them into tiers it'll be something like

tier A harris, bahay, mahmood, competente
tier B bayla, konov, porter
tier C gemao, jones, reyes, nieto
tier F romero

The outlandish blond hair, kinda separates him from the pack,so now fans actually looking forward on what can he do,it will be no different if he shaves his head,or wear a ponytail. We all still remember hairboy, its not the hair,it was the outrageous playmaking while messing around with his hair that did him in.

Being a son of a billionaire, politician, showbiz personality will always shadow the individual, but once the individual had proven themselves capable, then the stigma of having well to do parents fades away.If anything he should used it as a monkey on his shoulder that he needs to get off.

For the past 13 years Philippines U16 team has consistently placed 4th in the Asian Championship. The 2013 team was the only one who got a medal. 2017 team would have also won a medal if Oceania didn't participate in the tournament. The 2015 team had the worst finish at 5th place. I think a lot of people have high expectations for this year's team just because of the hype caused by Fil-Am inclusions especially Harris. If they placed 5th-6th, it will be at par with the previous performances since 2009.

I would have liked him better if I didn't know he is the son if douchebag Romero. That guy just wants to ruin basketball.

Konov's pull-up jumper is pretty to watch..

Yeah.
And I think Konov is no Mike Hrabak as the former is quicker & has better handles than the latter. I think Konov is a combo forward. Of course he has a lot of polishing to do with his game but the thing is, he is only 17 yrs of age. He still huge room for improvements.

The player that really impresses me the most so far is Jacob Bayla. He is a 6-foot-4 natural shooting guard. This kid is very skilled. I think kung skills lang ang pag uusapan Bayla is better than Thirdy Ravena when Thirdy was of this age. I think its already a significant improvement for Phi basketball if there would be some sort of proliferation of 6-3/6-4 shooting guards.

Yeah.

I see two future Asian imports in both Konov and Bayla. These guys will be both B.League-bound. Hehe

so Forthsky\Fortea or Santi?

Forthsky\Fortea neither are blonde nor sons of billionaires...

We clearly had better personnel overall compared to Japan but the worst in Phil coaching came out last time. This team would beat Japan 8 out of 10 with better coaching.

Pinoy coaches tend to get dismantled by sound, fundamental basketball in the international stage. As long as this team is handled in the typical pinoy fashion you’ll never see good results. In that Japan game we see no adjustments whatsoever when it was clear that the opponent was way too comfortable letting our players dig their own graves with their terribad tendencies which is normal at this stage but should be corrected. No attempt to dictate the pace of the game on the defensive end, typical Reyes team which over prioritises offense as if you have a core of nba players who can score at will and ending up with a team with limited defensive capabilities. It’s much better to employ a much less taxing, more fundamental and efficient gameplan that values developing good tendencies in these young players rather than training them to play an import’s game(ball dominant, selfish, “clutch”, turnover prone), bad systems will create a generation of Pogoys and Kobe Paras when we’re looking to need more Dwight Ramos, Baltazar, Tamayo which are much closer to the ideal, authentic pinoy baller instead of a failed wannabe nba product.

Hrabak is more of a stretched big while Konov is a natural wing. BTW your prediction that Batang Gilas will win by not less than 20 points was spot-on..

I hope my prediction on the Batang Gilas vs. Australia quarterfinals match would be wrong. Come on coach Josh, make me look like a dumb!!!!!!!

i didnt get to watch last night, but looking at stats from FIBA website, Konov had a great shooting night. something that a lot of fans was hoping to see before the games even started. the last 2 games, his shooting was really bad.

I know the Nieto u16 team did not encounter Oz or NZ. Did Kai? Realistically speakimg we are 4-6 in this age group after Oz, NZ and China. We are around the level of JP, Korea. I dont know anything about the ME teams though.

Edit: I forgot SK beat NZ
