^Same problem because we still have the same coach lol.

I miss gilas 1 with toroman they're pretty to watch.

Most of Caelum's development will be on his American coaches not Gilas.

I will have no problems if he lands in Ateneo if its still Coach tab will coach ateneo. But division one will help and allot of training with gilas seniors.

With all misfortunes Philippine basketball has rightnow, can we go back to BAP again and let them redeem themselves?

No way! we are much much better situation right now with SBP but we are stagnant and not improving systematically.

I think after 2023 SMC will finally handle the SBP hoping they will do better my only concern is chua he don't like getting a foreign coach.

My concern too, and the fact that SMC these days don't really develop players for FIBA basketball.

Who put DDO Jr. in charge ba? MVP? AL Panlilio? Daddy nya?

Then they will say it's a thankless job and nobody wants this position, good thing DDO Jr, took this with the kindness of his puso.

Did they even ask Coach Mav Phenomenal? If inter-brgy plays lang din, better be the legend na lang.

Nepotism is regressing the gains from Coach Tab. SBP must stop giving special treatmen to the Reyeses. There are allot of good coach with good credentials and achievement like Ayo or goldwyn. Dickels can also be the coach.

Coach Mav is even better than DDO jr. This upcoming under 18 we must replace DDo Jr.

About Harris, he needs a good coach and mentor, thats all. Or he will become just the next Kobe Paras.

what draft stock?

My thoughts exactly. In his batch, he's ranked 48th in Tennessee. There are 49 more states in America so he could be an unranked 3-star prospect at best (Parks was ranked in the 110's, Paras was a 4-star ranked in the 120's, if Sotto didn't go to G-League Ignite, he would have been ranked in the 70's). The only reason he's there is because SBP wants the next Jordan Clarkson, Jalen Green, or even Jaime Malonzo for that matter to be FIBA-eligible. He has no realistic chance of making the NBA, but will definitely be a UAAP player if he doesn't get any decent offers.

The Filipinos love and passion for basketball are not being reciprocated with wins but rather by disappointments

I mean the talent is clearly there but right now he doesnt translate to an NBA prospect. Now if his transition to wing goes well then it could happen and to be fair to Gilas we were allowing him to play wing. A lot of clear weaknesses right now though but the talent is also clear.

In general, this Final 12 of our U16. I dont think anyone of them will be an nba prospect. Caelum can be in US Ncaa div 1 though. I think he will be better than Panopio, and dalph is in US NCAA div 1 now.

Femi and Harper (Assuming eligible), I am not sure if they would have performed better tham Caelum.

Kai, AJ, Carl Batang Gilas days are golden. The first 2 are nba prospects (I believed AJ would if not for injuries) and Carl is good enough to play top overseas league.

Our national basketball program is becoming a training ground for the Father & Son coaching careers.:(

Its all about the coach and trainers thats all.

With the length and/or athleticism in this lineup, I wonder why we didn't blitz screen and rolls often, just to provide a different look. Caelum, Konov, and even Zain could have been good at blitzing.

Hopefully they learned a lot and make adjustments.
I'm not really expecting much from Junior. It's better to set your expectations low these days.

If Nativist, will have their, his looks and last name are foreign, that should disqualify him from handling SBP.

Yes. But Kai was under DDO Jr. too right? Yet he was(still is) an nba prospect.

I just cannot see anyone here in U16 Gilas who will be an nba prospect.

I am not talking about the tourney now. Ofc coaching matters there.

But based on players talent alone, yeah. Wala talaga for me.

Some of them will be Gilas Senior Players though I think.

Sorry for Off topic. But dito kasi ako tumitingin in youth teams who are possible nba or europe or nbl aus prospects
