Anything you see and observed in the evolution and development of Basketball in top Leagues of the World

Mine would be:

1. Bigs, generally are mobile now. Can Dribble, Move, and Shoot.

2. Shooters are more accurate than ever. They can also make tougher shots. Off the Dribble, Spot up, Off screens, etc.

3. Tall Playmakers. Whether Point Guards or Point Forwards. There are increasing numbers of Tall Playmakers. When I say Tall, 6'7 or above.

4. Advanced X and Os of the Game. Especially the Variations of PNR. It is amazing to see how pnr developed from a simple play to complex plays like horns pnr or spain pnr.

5.Offense is outgrowing/outdeveloping Defense. I felt bad for defense. It seems like it cant catch up to the super advancement of offense now.

An observation regarding PnR is inverted PnR, where a forward like Brownlee or LeBron handles the ball, and a guard screens to force switches.

Lol. That Brownlee LA Inverted PNR

I think these guys could practice the inverted PnR. The ballhandlers at the 4 spot could be Basti, Caelum, probably Mahmood, and some guards could screen to force mismatches. I hope we can utilize that.

As a general rule, we should be aiming for our fours to be able to defend the perimeter and have wing skillsets at the very least. We're gonna be short, so might as well have these guys be versatile.

i am high on this kid. so coordinated at his age ang height, hope its legit. my height projection is 6'7"-6'10. If developed and exposed to the highest level of competition it would be a luxury for gilas in the future to have that tall of an sg or sf. hope ewp gets him. I think he can be competitive in the u16 despite being that young.

Wow! this kid is something special! He deserves to be invited by SBP as early as now. If his stated age is true, he is too good to pass up by the gilas program.

^ ^ ^ ^

Are they sure that kid is only 13 years old? Based on the video, he doesn't move like a 13-year old kid. He seems to have so advanced skills for a 13-year old. Its like looking at a 16-year old kid. The kid is really impressive. The kid has the height, the skills & the athleticism. What else can you ask for a 13-year old player?

He's already 18,on the update he's not gonna grow another inch, and he doesn't have giantism so normal Pinoys stop growing at 16.

U18 Australian junior championships just finished this past week.

U17 Asia/WC team may look something like this if all available.
Just my opinion…

6’1 05 K.Ferranato
6’1 05 K.Savage
6’2 05 J.Pitman
6’3 05 J.Dent
6’4 05 T.Devers
6’5 05 C.Briggs
6’6 05 K.Amir*
6’6 06 R.Siulepa
6’8 05 J.O’Donnell
Another big, hard to choose. Maker perhaps.
6’10 05 J.Hughes
7’2 06 R.Zikarsky

I’d say their are about 5-6 other guys in contention though.
*May not play, based in usa.

Still hoping Coach Tab may be able to handle our young lads for this years Under Tournament.

not coach tab nor sandy but some ddo jr. guy will coach the team..

Sayang, kasi Tab could have tried to set a culture with these kids, that of good disciplined defense, cohesion on both ends, and unselfishness. Plus, he could develop kids into their FIBA positions, and maybe we could have taller wings as a result.

Early on, there could be development of culture and taller, more versatile players. I think Pangilinan should take advantage of this.

nothing we can do, the reyeses are the fair haired boys of mvp

Just watched NBL PHILIPPINES UNDER16 and I watched the Pampanga Delta under 16 team... they have 3 big players...Pre is the best player of the 3 and maybe he's around 6"4-6"5 there's Castellejo but he's still weak and skinny but he's tall maybe is around 6'7 or 6'8 and other one is Vergara and he's the weakest of the 3 maybe is around 6'6 or 6'7...I hope these kids will get proper training....

Dribble drive with a 3-guard (or 3 guard-sized player) lineup and no backup plan. Oh, well. Hope I'm wrong, though.

Frankly, a slow-paced and defensive identity with versatile defenders fits our Gilas teams better, rather than relying too much on small guards at 3.
