one of our possible opponents in the crossover:

Korea:

Kim Seonghun 6'8
Shin Hyunbin 6'6
Ku Mingyo 6'6
Kang Taehyun 6'5
Lee Yujin 6'5
Kim Seoungwoo 6'4
Seok Junhwi 6'3
Ko Chunyou 6'2
Shim Jeoun 6'2
Bang Seongin 6'2
Daniel Edi 6'2
Lee Gwanwoo 5'11

It’s always a tough task of playing against sokors.
I would say we got lucky that The batch of kai didn’t even play against koreans in their under age tournaments.

What happend to them?

Oh. They lost to Japan and NZ.

Anyway, if ever This Gilas Batch face them. It will be a big test for them to rotate to Korean Shooters

one of these players might turn out as another Lee Hyungjun. We don't know.

Hoping for good performance for this BG batch and hoping some scouts would notice their talent (especially on the homegrown side)

Hopefully, based on what I see from the clips. Looks like The Team Main Players are Fil Foreigns e. (Ofc, it can be different in true games)

But among the homegrowns, I hope Basti Reyes perfroms well. As he is still 6'5 barefoot. He is young. Hopefully he goes overseas before Letran lock him up.

The others are too small like Bahay.

But Good luck to all of them whether they are homegrowns or Fiams

Side Note About Konov Pala.

Someone said that he is not a discovery from SBP or Filam Nation Select.

He was referred and recommended by Jayden Jones.( i think they were teammates or at least know each other overseas)

Wow. Ty Jayden Jones.

Love watching Konov's lateral footwork at 6'7"..

I think he is good naman. Not overly fast and athletic, but not slow footed too.

Actually, Right now, I just hope he can be the Pure Wing Shooter we need

So he can be a feasible SF?

as long as the kid is tough and not afraid of contact, he will be an asset for the future that can be developed, with don't want a guy like Kobe who is alergic to contact and playing hard.

Batang Gilas U-16. Good luck in Doha!

^^ No way J-House is his FIBA listed height of 5'9. He looks like he's a foot shorter than 6'6 Zain.

Alex Konov is #15

From all the highlights I’ve seen it looks like all he does is camp out on the perimeter and shoot 3s doesn’t really do much else and doesn’t seem capable of creating for himself or others, kind of reminds me of small version of Stevan Jelovac

Lets see our kids play first too.

It is different from practice and clips. It is different in true game. Where your opponents will want to destroy and outplayed you.

These are some thing I will observed to all kids:

1. Can they follow system?

2. Can they create their own shots?

3. Their tendencies: Shoot First/Ballhog, Playmaker/Passive, Balanced.

4. Playtype: Shooter, Slasher, Playmaker, Defender, All Round

5. Ability to play Defense both in perimeter and inside

6. Their Hustle and Rebounding

7. Composure

8. Skills

9. Discipline

10.3pt shooting accuracy

11. Can they play off ball

12. Can bigs defend guard in PNR. Can Guards defend bigs in post?

That's actually how a 5'9 would look like beside someone 6'6 in height if i'm not mistaken.

I thought we are already too demanding here.

But In AJEF, they want Konov to play SG. Yes SG, not only SF. But Pure SG. Haha.

Fans really salivating for a 6'7-6'8 SG.

I am sure they will bash if Konov will be used as PF/C (Which I think he would be)

Anyway

Jones
Bayla
Harris
Konov
Zain

Is probably the tallest lineup our U16 can Use

Some posters there are just.. heck I saw some accusing mock draft writers of being racist towards Asians just because they didn't like what they wrote about Kai.

It's pointless to force people to play out of position in such a short prep time

is you are doing DDO or swing, whats the difference between a 2 and a 3?

Actually. In Chot's DDO system, he uses 3 ballhandlers, which often necessitates a 3-guard lineup. The 1, 2, and 3 positions all get to be ballhandlers.

So in essence, the 3 either is a guard, or is allowed to play like a guard. Not much fundamental difference between the 3 and the 2.

Which means that with DDO, Konov most likely would be playing as a 4 most of the time if not all the time.
