2020 Olympics Prediction Game

IBN Olympics Prediction Game: The Rules
Submit your predictions each game day to this thread. I will publish the results at the end of each game day (as well as cumulative results as the tournament progresses).

Please enter the results in the following format:
ARG-SLO
If you think Argentina will beat Slovenia by 12 points, enter in:
ARG-SLO 12
If you think Slovenia will beat Argentina by 31 points, enter in:
ARG-SLO -31

The game's points are calculated as follows:
* if your prediction of the winning team is correct = 3 pts.
* if you predict the exact point difference of the final score you get 5 extra pts (3+5 = 8 pts)
* your point difference prediction is off by 1, you get 3 extra pts (3+3 = 6 pts)
* your point difference prediction is off by 2 = 2 extra (3+2 = 5 pts)
* your point difference is off by 3 = 1 extra (3+1 = 4 pts)
* your prediction of the winning team is incorrect = minus 2 pts

Please note that if you do not predict the winning team correctly, you are not eligible to receive any of the extra points. (e.g. ARG beats SLO by 2, you predicted -1, you do not get an extra point for being 3 away from the actual score because you did not predict that ARG would win the game).

EDIT: Well, my prediction still stands, Team USA would probably play through despite having only 8 players or so.

Just a quick rules reminder: if a team doesn't have 5 players able to play before the start of the game, that team will forfeit the game and the score set at 20-0.

Adjust your France-USA predictions accordingly. Team USA is down to 8 able players right now.

Can't Team USA add any more players especially once the NBA Finals is over, or is it already too late at this point?

Yes, they're waiting for Booker, Middleton, and Holiday. But there's no way they are available before the first game (25th) because Japan puts athletes into a 3-day quarantine as soon as they arrive. The earliest the finals can finish is the 20th (21st in Japan already), and unless they put those players into a plane as soon as the game ends or use teleportation technology, there's no way they can reach Tokio in time.
