Hosting SEABA will give Gilas a big advantage in every game with other countries with the help of a big crowd cheering for them and also Gilas should not take other South East Asian country lightly, they must take them seriously to qualify in FIBA Asia.

changed again.another tweet.

UPDATE: SEABA now moved to May 15-21 to ensure Indonesia is fully prepared as their @IBLIndonesia finishes on May 7

man, the Indonesians are friggin serious about sending a strong team :D

Good for us, since it gives our boys more time to prepare, and for the PBA to make adjustments to the schedule.

Meta: @mods, can you change the date on the post title? Thanks!

this year's SEABA would be the best SEABA Tournament in history.. We're sending our Seniors team not the cadets or amateurs, Indonesia will send its very best team same goes with Thailand.. Oh boy..

In case the U16 tourney will also follow the new schedule, will Ethan Kirkness be available? Are students in Australia free during the above mentioned timeframe?

the SEABA chief is an Indonesian so walang naging problema sa pag-adjust ng scheds..

I think this will be the most anticipated and exciting SEABA tourney..

sana nman may live stream, just like the past two seaba editions, yan lang pampatanggal boredom at homesick ng ofws like me;)

problema pag sports5 or abscbn blocked yung streaming pag wala ka sa pinas

It is to be expected that Indonesia will be serious with SEABA this year since they are preparing for the 2018 Asian Games as well which they are hosting. So they need to produce a respectable basketball squad so as not to be embarrassed in front of their countrymen come 2018.

Remind me again when the 1st conference (all Filipino ends) and when the 2nd conference starts and finishes?

So if SEABA is mid May , that means 2 months prior (Cadets assemble) is March 15, so cadets can still play 1 month with mother teams ? then if 2nd conference finishes like end of April. (tama ba?) the PBA vets can practice full time 2 weeks for SEABA , without missing games ( is this correct) ?

the 1st conference might end up around 4th week of feb to 1st week of march. 2 weeks break then 2nd conference starts. usually the import laden conference are 3 months long. so march-june. not unless narvasa makes a change about that which is highly impossible..

at this point i would go with jamarr than hargrove for timnas indonesia.
