Pistons officially clinched a playoff spot tonight, likely taking on Lebron and the Cavs in the first round 1

East seed 4-6 are walking on a thin line. Sad to see the Bulls self-destruct in March despite a strong January - February performanc by Butler.

cle-det 4-2
tor-ind 4-3
mia-cha 4-2
atl-bos 3-4

gs-hou 4-0
sa-mem 4-0
okc-dal 4-1
lac-por 4-2

HEAT up big in the 4th against the Hornets. That 41 point explosion thanks to Luol Deng gave them enough cushion to fend off a challenge. Luol Deng gets great marks as a stretch four. Great passing by Dragic and Wade in this one.

Deng is so underrated it's not even funny. Glad to see him getting a real chance in Miami like he hadn't in Chicago or especially Cleveland.

I honestly think this year's playoffs could be better than last year, with the exception of the Hawks and the Pelicans being out. Boston is so much better than las year, Charlotte is kind of like Toronto or Boston last season, Pacers are obviously better than last season, Kawhi and Giannis have reached that next level, Portland has so many weapons, Clippers adding Green was huge, and we all know how Toronto got better. It remains to be seen if Memphis or Dallas are genuinely better than last year though.

True and I agree. I had such high hopes for Houston after last season's run but flash forward, last year's WCF is now a 1-8 first round match up.

DeRozan visibly struggling in the field, not doing much but content in shooting volumes but Raptors up 63-54 with Valanciunas making the most opportunity for hustle points and second chance possessions. Cory Joseph coming in, making things happen with his drive and decision making. Patterson, despite erratic minutes in the last stretch of games, is shooting well, now with two three pointer makes.

Lebron James is the one and truly NBA MVP. Warriors play without Curry, and beat the Houston Rockets. While the Cavs are 1 - 5 without Lebron this season ( including a loss to Houston at home without Lebron), and 3 - 10 last year.

Even the first game against pistons, it should have been blowout. With Lebron Cavs +18, without - 13..
There is no player in this league that can elevate his team from being crap to great as Lebron James does.

You make a fair point but I don't think the Warriors would get past the Spurs without Curry to name just one team. Rockets would lose to damn near anybody with the way they're playing in this series.

You are 100% correct. That's why I laugh when people try to compare Kobe to Lebron. Lebron with very weak teammates has made Nba finals and conference finals. When Kobe in his prime played with a bunch of stiffs in 2005-2007 all he could do is lose in the first round or be in the lottery.

You're putting Warriors already in the Conference Finals Spurs vs. Warriors ? I think the Clippers will outplay the Warriors and Conference Finals will be Clippers and Spurs. With all the respect to others of course you need to take out Curry and half the job is done, Chris Paul can do that. Also the front court of the Clippers will be a big factor in them wining Blake and DeAndre will be monsters in the paint Green will not do shit also Bogut or Varejao. I just see Clippers getting this one with them meeting in Conference Semi Finals.

Seems like you are doing the same thing by putting the Spurs in the conference finals before they get buy the Thunder. I would give the Thunder about the same chance of upsetting the Spurs as the Clippers upsetting the Warriors.

My predictions Clippers 4 - 2 Warriors Spurs 4 - 1 Thunder

Hawks showing up early on screens and contesting all those Celtic jumpers. Celtics seem rattle that every shot is contested and it seems they lost their ability to drive and create plays. Kyle Korver hit five treys so far.

No, I was naming one team the Warriors would definitely not beat without Curry. I wasn't going by the bracket. I was going by every team in the Western Conference playoffs.

I don't personally think Blake has the heart to outplay Green in the post. DeAndre will be a monster though of course.

Celtics need to start playing up to their capabilities. That team is far too stacked to be down 0-2 against a Hawks team with a glaring hole at multiple positions.

True, this is not the Celtics that looked to be surging up in the regular season but playoff atmosphere is a factor on this one. Hawks being 2-0 is somehow expected after their trip to the east finals last year.

Hornets looked much better in this game as Kemba Walker was hitting shots and the team kept in pace with the HEAT with the help of Al Jefferson's inside game, that looked to break through Whiteside's blockade. Veteran teams have the composure to win games where a younger and relatively younger team becomes downright predictable come crunch time. Hornets were able to dance with the HEAT all the way to the 3rd quarter but stumbled late.

Winslow and Richardson earning their playoff stripes in this game.

Portland's bench got clobbered by their Clipper counterparts. At this rate in garbage time, Clippers bench have a higher +/- stats compared to Portland's starters.
