Some news:
Hapoel Jerusalem received a wild card for Euroleague Qualification. Great news!

Maccabi Haifa won't take a part in Eurocup next season. The reason is unknown. - So pity! Is there another Israeli team will take M.Haifa's place in Eurocup? Maybe Hapoel Tel Aviv or Hapoel Eilat?

Donta Smith signed with Hapoel Jerusalem for 2+1 years. Great signing!
Derwin Kitchen extended two years with Hapoel Jerusalem.

Kevin Palmer will stay in Hapoel Eilat for another year.

Dagani Yivzuri and Alex Chubverich will stay with Maccabi Haifa.

Maccabi Tel Aviv extended Guy Pnini's contract for two more years.

Danny Franco has been appointed as a head coach for Hapoel Jerusalem.

Has the Jerusalem Arena completed yet? If not, then when?

Maccabi will part ways with Joe Ingles for sure.

Jerusalem has not only got Donta Smith from Haifa but also their coach, Danny Franco.
At the same time, Jerusalem won't keep Dupree and has lost Parahoutski to Nizhny Novgorod. While Dupree is easy to replace, Parahoutski was a real big man. If Jerusalem wants to have a good chance in the qualis and play EL, they need to get a good big.

What about Yancy Gates? I think he could be a better replacement for Artisom Parahoutski.?

Oded Katash has been appointed as the head coach of Hapoel Tel Aviv.

If I'm correct, Erez Edelstein has been appointed as the head coach of Hapoel Eilat.

opening game for the Jerusalem Arena is on september 4, should be done only a few days earlier than that.

maccabee haifa won't take part in the EC because of their budger cut by their owner. no other israeli team will take its place - no time to get themselves organized, no proper arenas (next year there will be 4 new arenas, 3 of them should be suitable for EC).

Dan Shamir (messina's assistant last year in CSKA) has been appointed as the head coach of Eilat.
Erez Edelshtein currently coaches no team in the Israeli league, and will coach Israel's national team.

Jerusalem's looking at Eli Holman rather than Yancy Gates (Another Eilat ex) as a replacement for parakhouski...

Yancy Gates to Hapoel Tel Aviv - great signing.

What is happening with Brad Greenberg?

Also is Hapoel Jerusalem roster completed or are they still looking to sign few more players?

So does that means they are going to sign two more foreign players?

I think so.

My feeling is that they are waiting to players that will be waived from NBA training camps

Jerusalem have pretty decent guards rotation, but they don't have a scoring forward at the moment, they will have to bring a shooter because Eliyahu and Smith won't spread the floor.

SF Rafi Menko signed a 4 years deal with Jerusalem, and will be loaned this year to Galil Gilboa.

Great move by Jerusalem and Menko, Menko is a top Israeli prospect that have to get minutes this year.

He was outstanding this summer with the U-20 national team.

It seems that Galil Gilboa are back with the famous college pilosophy, with 3 players from Israel U-20 team:

Rafi Menko
Itay Segev
Chooakin shochman

Game 1 results:

Nes Ziona - MTA 69:81
Nahariya - Hapoel Jerusalem 78:99
Eilat - Hapoel Tel Aviv 84:70
Rishon Lezion - Herzeliya 80:78
Maccabi Haifa - Ashdod 74:73
Holon - Galil Gilboa 89:72

Some observations and stats:

- MTA and Jerusalem cruised to easy wins with a lot of garbage time
- Haifa,Nahariya and Galil-Gilboa look the weakest teams atm
- Isaac Rosefelt from Holon broke the Israeli all time record, with an amazing 26 Rebounds(!!!)
- Josh Selby (Herzliya, 29 pts 4 stl) and Shawn Dowson (Rishon Lezion 26 pts 6 reb) were the best players this week

The playoffs have started. Maccabi had a really tough time with Nes Ziona (a very short lineup9 with Ohayon winning it on a three, 89-88. 21 pts., 7 ast. and 4 treys for him.

At the League Table in left, you click a team and see all the stats.
Or, at the top tool line, choose the 3rd from right (near the 2014/15)
