we're not confirmed yet.

Malaysia. We're having a knockout match with them to see who'll represent SEA.
But the dates that are being proposed are not acceptable to both sides.

what about CHAMPVILLE COURT??? THEY SHOULD START MAKING INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION THERE!!

yea you are right Champville stadium also can host the cup ,champville who can hold 5000 specs ...also big Stadium ... but the problem is always that the federation choose stadiums who are in Capital (Beirut) ...

so for sure they will take one of the 3 i mention ...

How many teams will participate in this tournament is it 10 or 12 the two previous tournaments find a difficult time to complete the teams? Now that it is a qualifying tournament for the next Asian championships hopefully asian teams take these tournament seriously?

Gilas Pilipinas qualifies for Fiba Asia Stankovic Cup outright as Malaysia backs out of qualifier.

Looks like Smart Gilas has another tournament added to their schedule. Hehe.

more minutes for Magi Sison(more international exposure) and chris lutz(to familiarize further the system)

National Team qualify to Stankovic Cup for the 1st time - Jun 9, 2010 (by Tamara Awartani)
The national team of Palestine arrived in Dahuk Iraq for the 10th WABA tournament taking place from the 9th 13th of June, from which 4 teams qualify to Stankovic Cup (Asian Tournament) taking place in Beirut Lebanon from the 7th of Aug 15th of Aug, 2010.
Participating teams in WABA tournament are Palestine, Iraq, Iran (B team) and Syria (U 23), while Lebanon, Jordan (preparing for the World Cup) and Yemen withdrew giving the first four teams a chance to qualify to Stankovic Cup.

Palestine for the first time in its history will take part in Stankovic Cup which is a very important step and needs proper preparation to be able to give a good image of Palestinian Basketball.
We would also like to thank the Iraqi Federation & committee for sponsoring the Palestinian team and facilitating their participation.

Palestine National team had a very short time to prepare for the WABA tournament having only 7 practices together and two practice games as the super league just finished, coached by Derek Crayton who led De La Salle Club to 2nd place in the Superleague, assisted by Nader Marta who led Qalandia to 6th place in the Superleague.

The National Team consists of:
1. Ibrahim Al Habash (194-F-75) Sarriyet Ramallah
2. Yahia Al Khatib (190-G-77) Ibdaa Dheisheh
3. Mahdi Eid (194-F-81) Ibdaa Dheisheh
4. Ibrahim AlBandak Orthodox Bethlehem
5. Tawfiq Richard Rafidi De La Salle Jerusalem
6. Nabeel Nasser (192-C-81) Ahli AlQuds
7. Adham AlJamzawi Qalandia
8. Saleem Sakakini Sarriyet Ramallah
9. Sani Sakakini (204-C-88) Riyadi Jordan
10. Oday Hilal Orthodox Beit Sahour
11. Maher Kassis Orthodox Beit Sahour
12. Jack Tannous Sarriyet Ramallah
While Hussein AlHaj and Ibrahim AlSheikh Ahmad joined them (Palestinians residing in Syria)

Palestine will qualify.
