what is the update for china-korea game?

76:66
China won

Korea did not play for win, neither did China.
But one thing could be confirmed, China and Korea would meet at the final for sure. Other teams? I do not think so. (mainly due to the different level of participations of each team in this Asia game.)

no vids for PHL vs Taipei?

Korea in the quarters. Our wards have to go all out!

This video looks like it's from some Jones Cup....

I watched most of the China-S Korea game. Neither team played all out as been mentioned. Korea is scrappy but nothing special, and turnovers killed them. China also played bad, but at least they limited turnovers despite Korea's full court press the entire game.

It'll be a different story for sure if the two teams meet again. May I also mention that Ha Seung Jin still looks clueless in terms of basketball skills, not to mention also out of shape. The starting C, 200cm Oh Se Keun, seems to have bigger breasts than Anna Nicole Smith.

It was nice to see Liu Wei and Yang Dong Geun hugging at the end, showing respect for their opponents. On the down side though, both teams still heavily relied on their old guys in Wang Zhizhi and Kim Joo Sung. I remember Lee Kyu Sup was already referred to as an "old player" in 2003 and he's still balling.

Anyway, Sun Yue was the man of the game, aggressive and confident. If only he could shoot a little better, the guy could be unstoppable for many many years to come, at least in Asia.

Once again thank you for the coverages...I enjoyed it very much

We had very good chance and we blew it!

screw our coaching staff and organization we really need to make a reform

Saw the highlights of the South Korea - Mongolia game.

South Korea had the hot hand and it seems this was a different team compared to the one that played China. South Korea had employed Spread Quick-Hitters plays and Spread I/O movements that resulted to 7 players in double figure scoring and 11 out of 12 players registering on the score sheet. Only team captain Kim Sung Chul did not play. The team shot 12-31 from beyond the arc and was 30-37 on the perimeter.

i actually thought mongolia was doing ok ... they beat turkmenistan to qualify, and then they got a win over uzbek, they have a chance to beat india...altho im gonna pick india to win that one..they need some players...nobody really jumps to mind on their roster...but i wish them luck..itll be tough for them to compete with some of the heavyweights in fiba asia ..

@sinobball - yur right about the jones cup...the title said asian games and i didnt watch it

I'm afraid Mongolia won't meet India, they'll play Chinese Taipei for 9th place while India has to settle with Uzbekistan for the 11th spot.

Mongolia improved a lot since hiring that Korean coach.

thats what i thought also, since india and uzbek are winless ... but then i saw this remaining schedule ... its off the wikipedia site

four teams in the "losers bracket" mongolia v india and uzbek v chinese taipei with the winners meeting for 9th place and the losers meeting for 11th

Indeed it was the first time in Mongolian basketball history we went further round 1.But after following this competition I've learned that most countries sent their B C national teams while some teams younger and unexperienced.

Turkmenistan,it was no doubt a must-win game as we had at least better rank.Uzbekistan probably sent younger team to rebuild their NT and to gain some experience. Therefore, they were not a good opponents in this event.Same with Jordan.I rank them as same as Mongolia NT.North Korea on the other hand probably had more serious purposes of participating even when their level of basketball were near-identical to us.But with better resolution and coaching.

We had all the chances to be named at least for four years as one top 8s with other top level teams in Asia.

First of all we gotta solve all this internal mini problems concerning players and coaches.Even should consider about rebuilding team with youngsters, supporting those young talents.

Anyway this year for the first 2 former NCAA legioners are coming to our league.Hope this will help

As for competition China vs Korea are more likely to advance to finals

if south korea and north korea meets in the semis it will surely be a war?!! :o

South Korea 74 Philippines 66

i doubt japan loses to north korea ..

South Korea 74 Philippines 66

I think the coach chose to rest veteran Lee Kyu Sup (DNP). While Ha Seung Jin (DNP) and Ham Ji-Hoon (Limited minutes) are paying injured in this tournament.

Oh Sak-Yeon carried the team with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.
